Was supposed to be riding this but Epstein-Barr virus has to put an end to anything serious for the foreseeable future...
Had LeShuttle booked already and couldn't cancel it so my partner and I headed over to Roubaix as volunteers which was great.
I did the bike checks. I reckon Robin seemed the most serious out of everyone, seemed quite in the zone. Think he had my second favourite bike out of everyone. Amazing hair!

It's a much harder course than I was expecting when originally looking at the route. Apart from the climbing (which is hard) I couldn't say exactly what it is. Possibly the harder sections being towards the end maybe.
I'm contemplating do it again next year solo and maybe making a bit of a trip out seeing some other places in Bosnia.

driving 10km home after riding a 400
Yeah I had a scary experience with this after doing a 400 as well that really taught me a lesson. Fell asleep at the wheel for a split second. Ended up sleeping in a lay-by for an hour before continuing. Always take sleeping bag now to longer Audaxes just in case.

Can't help think she might regret posting this. Asking people to message David Ayre because you're annoyed by the organisations rules seems fairly petulant
Edit: Don't think that link is working so:
@thetranscontinental is refusing to report my progress on any leaderboards since my pairs partner had to scratch on the first day. SO I’LL REPORT IT HERE: CP1 REACHED AND I’M 3rd PLACE FEMALE, Y’ALL! Apparently volunteers have been told they aren’t even allowed to record my time in the system, but @ayredw found it in his heart to let them stamp my brevet card. Go DM David if you think this erasure is unsportsmanlike, because I sure do. David, you should reflect on how you can #bemoremike (I don’t care about an official finish; I care about my effort being recognised!) LET’S PARTY GUYS! I’M (unofficially) THIRD!
