First attempt at 3 laps on gears. Quite pleased with the effort.
Was drafted by a bloke on a white SS for 3/4 lap. Hai if you're on here.
Also DAS'd a couple of fixed riders at some point. Again Hai.

Is anyone getting the train back from Ipswich? Other than Theo and I? It's so expensive! Unless you get the 7.43 which costs a tenner. Hopefully will actually make it back there in time..
Never did see you guys. Left later than planned. Got to beach later than planned. Got a free ride back on the train though, so bonus.
Mostly good except for the mile or so of semi-epic cx singletrack.
Opted for the 3.5m detour.
Glad it was of some use. Rode to Darsham station instead. Knackered.
well that was a really nice dunwich, rode the first half with matt (middleofnowhere, ramaye, al and ian conker
first half of ride was dispatched with much haste, maybe too much haste ( yes you matt ) i don't think i could have kept clinging onto his back wheel all ride
our peleton split at the feed station ( nice to see you skully / oliver ) and ian, al and myself rode on at a more leisurely pace
no real incidents of note, no mechanicals which is always nice ... 3 nicely oiled bikes whipping silently through the night is always a pleasure
the last 20 miles or so seemed to go on for a good while with the breaks becoming ever more frequent
the diet of pork pies and flapjacks kept me energised through the night
the drizzle and grey skies over dunwich were an unwelcome sight as people just wanted to stretch out on the beach and be warm and comfortable ... luckily my rucksack contained a fleece jacket and trousers so i just curled up on the beach and had a kip
left for ipswich and the train, i don't know when, rolled slowly through the suffolk country side as gradually the sun came out
jumped on a train at ipswich with no problems what so ever at about 3.30, 20 or so other bikes in the guards van 3 stops to liverpool street
end of.great ride, nice to meet lots of forumengers along the way, respect to everyone who did it
Was nice to roll those well oiled miles with you guys.

That was my plan. Have figured out a non-main road route, Dunwich to Ipswich. Not sure if its any good. Hadn't got as far deciding on what train to get, so that's good to know.

From here,

My mate Denny once needed a shit.
The only thing was, he was in a room full of blokes all crashed out and he couldn't get to the door.
He'd already had a crafty wank in a hiking sock belonging to the guy who's room it was, so he thought he use the other sock for something else - shame to waste it.
With some difficulty and stifled giggling, he managed to crimp one off into the sock, holding it open over his arsehole.
He opened the window but realised there was a glass roof below, so to clear that and hit the bushes beyond he had to give the sock a really good heave. He wanged it, and the sock sailed into the distance, never to be seen again.
Denny went to sleep.
Next morning there was something of a wild rumpus in the room.
Denny opened his eyes, and saw a thin line of shit running up the far wall, across the ceiling and over the window.
The sock had had a hole in it.
The pressure of the fling had resulted in a 'dirty icing bag' effect on the shit in the sock.
He'd piped crap all over the room.
Everybody's sleeping bags had little speckles of Denny shit on them.
He was forced to flee.
Giggling.Repped. I've just had to leave the office as I was laughing so hard I was making a right tit of myself.

Out, I'm afraid. Going on holiday instead.
As I cycle through the hills around Lake Como in full roadie douche mode I'll be sure to think of you all doing mad skidz down the Ditchling.

Classifieds
The Classifieds forum is provided to enable members of the community to carry out transactions with other members of the community.
It is provided to give you a "wild west" alternative to eBay and auction sites in which you can choose to accept the risk of the transaction in exchange for dealing face-to-face with another member of the community.
We accept absolutely no liability for any transaction carried out as a result of the use of the communication services provided, including any loss or harm that comes to you or your possessions or any grievance with any other forum member. Your use of the provided communication service is entirely at your own risk, and as per the liability rule we are having nothing to do with it.
Basic rules for classifieds:
You must post the classified advert in the Classifieds forum.
You must use a thread prefix if one is applicable. If more than one is applicable you must select the one that you most wish to happen. I.e. select "For Sale" even if you are also willing to trade but would prefer to sell.
If you have an item for sale anywhere other than here, like ebay, bikeradar, ctc, retrobike, etc. then you cannot post it here. However, if you have posted it on one of those other sites, other people who have discovered it are allowed to post it in the eBay/Craigslist finds thread. You must not do this yourself.
No bumping on anything you're offering (for sale or trade)! Exceptions: 1) If you included a price as per the advisory, you can bump the thread to drop the price. 2) If you hadn't added enough information (such as photos) and now want to.
No fishing expeditions. You are either selling something or you're not. Either it's in the classifieds or it's deleted.
PayPal transactions must include buyer protection (sellers are not allowed to demand that money be sent as a "Gift" as this deprives the buyer of any form of protection on their payment).
Advisory (not rules):
Update the thread (or close it) when your item has sold and say how much it has sold for.
Put a price in the first post, with ONO (Or Nearest Offer) if you're willing to negotiate.
The first post of any thread in the Classifieds forum will automatically show additional information about the person that created the thread. This is provided solely to help you form an opinion of trust and does not imply any endorsement by the London Fixed-gear and Single-speed forum of the person in question. -

Sneaking in at no.3. I can provid navigational assistance as required. Have done it often enough now. Even in the sunshine occasionally.

LWJ did me fine in Oz summer temps, but I don't have a super light. What's the problem with the pockets? I'm not sure I remember ever running out of space.
Cheers. LWJ has two 'proper' back pockets with a vertically zipped central 'ballast pocket' as opposed to the usual three pocket layout. Was curious as to how that worked. I usually stow my tool bag in the central back pocket.

only went out for a quick spin and DAS'd mr mortlake road-grey track frame-bullhorns-man (yes i've forgotten your name) and then the combination of this spot and the beautiful weather made me shout a rather enthused DAS at someone who i think was branwen as he was coming up kew bridge, sorry if i scared you!
Hi. I think that's the third spot in almost the same place. First time I've seen you on a bike. Although admittedly only caught a glimpse out of the corner of my eye.
Nice afternoon for it indeed. Managed to leave work a little earlier than usual and even an earlier puncture didn't ruin my ride home.

Nice ride in the sunshine with some good people. Excellent way to spend a Sunday.
Was surprised that even after living in London for 13 years I'd ridden very few of the roads on our route between Waterloo and Clapham Common.
I did a disappearing act when we hit Carnaby St area, too many people for my liking. So ciao to all.

Bearded Roberts rider in Grupetto kit south west corner of Tooting Bec common, just now. Little busy there for a DAS, especially whilst stopped. Nice bike mate.
Apols to whoever DAS'd me yesterday evening whilst I was southbound on Mortlake Rd. I didn't oblige, legs were hurting and would not shut up. Hai.

Who was on the pretty large TI fixed with American classic 420 wheels, bulls and a front brake?
Wanted to congratulate you on the awesomeness of it but was too tired.
Ah, it's bloody lovely!
Cheers mate. Glad you like it. It's my pride and joy. Yesterday was the perfect day to take it out.
BTW was well impressed with your brakeless descent of the back of Canonbie.
