Any Sinn experts here? Just picked up this 103 which is showing some patina and needs some love. I’ll give it a bit of a clean up and it will deffo need a service.
Dial - T Swiss Made T (but numbers still seem luminous)
Crystal - sapphire has some spots on the AR
Solid case back, serial begins with 103
Hollow end links give it a bit of a jangle
H link bracelet
German day wheelSo far I like it! I read about the thickness before I picked it up but it doesn’t wear as tall as I feared.

I haven't used them but I know some jewellers send stuff to these guys in Hatton Garden

I have used https://watchguy.co.uk/ a couple of times, very happy, think someone else here used them too after I mentioned them before. You have to send the watch off though... -

Jumbo Day Date, Oyster Prince Day Date? I don't know what they're usually called but ref is 7017/0 - great size (38mm) and I love the layout - yes unfortunately I think they messed up the new ones they just always looked off to me.
I'm sure good deals on the newer ones can be had, but (relatively speaking) the OG's seem decent value when you compare a similar vintage (mine is '69) Sub for example, or ofc any Rolex day/date offerings. Only downside is that it's not quickset so takes ages to set the date/day.

One fairly fundamental thing I dropped a bollock on buying the 996 was the paint. Seemed like the last protective coat had gone bad and had oxidised, looked really bad at certain angles. Colour correction today, decided to get it done properly, paint a bit thin in places but all original apparently.

Yeah it’s really fun, and I think I’ll probably regret selling it tbh esp at the prices they are fetching at the mo. I really wanted my brother to hang onto it for a while but he blew me out, all he had to pay was insurance and petrol! I had to act quickly though while I had the chance to get a 996. Picked it up last week and I’m loving it, the 3.4 with a sports exhaust is quite a noise.
