I plumped for another Luxos-U.
Risk of water ingress be damned, it will charge my gps/phone on the go...this is the shit.
doesn't matter if someone's leaking water in, mine's been working perfectly for over a year and been soaked in tsunami rain as well and beats clearly the Edelux II and especially USB Büchel which is basically useless in the dark unless you just want others to notice you...

@JB very sad to hear that.
I think it's not only the beauty of the hand craft but the whole company shines to me as an example how to make great business that brings value to the customer and the employees seem to enjoy working there.

@jontea to my knowledge only retailer outside US is blue lug

How much is the latest price for Karoo and the estimated shipping date? Found some conversation behind the link posted by BRP a few comments above but haven't had a price quote even though signing up to the mailing list.
Watched the video by dcrainmaker and the Karoo looked really nice and especially the navigation feature just what I'm looking for.

Anyone here use the garmin 820 explore?
Wondering whether it would be a good choice for me as I'm more interested in working and easy navigation when riding(for possible touring as well) rather than all that performance related information.
Have heard something about touch screen issues on the regular edge 820 but are they apparent also with the explore? And if someone is using the 820 could they tell more about the "issues" relating to the touch screen or whether they actually exist?

Ive seen a few more on instragram, I thought they were just co-incidence, thats every off putting
i've seen maybe 10 or so, not something that i'm really concerned about but still keeping an eye on the dropouts every now and then. have had mine for over a year now and always kept my rear so tukt as it should be, nothing to do with the issue of breaking but purely aesthetics and nimbleness.

It's here: https://www.lfgss.com/comments/13689675/
that's strange. i'm shorter than you with apparently longer legs but the cock pit is quite similar except mine is higher.
are you riding in a really upright position by any chance?

have to say that the kask infinity has been great. you can get the stickers of for a steath look, the lid opens on a hotter day and when it's colder/winter it remains closed helping the head stay warmer as the wind does not get in the same way as with "open" helmets. the lid also keeps rain out :D
have kind of an egg shaped head and used giro previously which might help when considering the infinity as a choice.

have to disagree with you on the luxos as mine has worked perfectly for over a year, also used during a typhoon heavy in japan. although is does not sit in front of the tyre but on the side of it attached to a front rack. haven't submerged it into water but pretty close.
i'm sure you know that charging gadgets should not be used when it rains so the problems you have faced can't be the result of improper usage, right?
-
Because you emerged from the womb knowing all about bike mechanics and cool aesthetics. Right. You and @wildwest are being entirely unhelpful dicks.
life's too short you know
also: my friends come for asking knowledge and help on selecting a good bike for their needs, not asking for how to get a cool fixie
not that i'm dead serious about unfriending friends but you seem like a guy that gets a joke

seems that i haven't posted my cycle truck here so...
