They come in different axle lengths.
There’s a bit of info here on Bayliss Wiley lengths and the equivalent TDC which is another brand. The first being the better of the two.
http://www.classiclightweights.co.uk/bblengths.html
Axle number 15 was made for singlespeed/fixed but depending on chainstay shape/chainline you might need a longer one.
Can’t remember if number 15 is asymmetric or not but some are, but I’ve flipped them a few times to achieve a better chainline.
Is your Klunker bb 68 or 73mm?
Might not work if it’s 73.
I agree current cups are nasty. You’d be better of with an old one. -

I’ve tried a while ago fitting the plates on the outside and it came about 175mm or so.
I think it’s a bit of trial and error as each fork is different (straight blade or not, height of the eyelet on the blade, etc).
I wouldn’t force it open too much as it’s a 3 piece alloy and you might end up stressing it causing it to fail. -

Not sure how old it is but it won't look out of place.
Would you be treating it with proofide or something similar?
I remember buying an old Brooks, the leather was kind of similar condition to that bag and although I've treated it with loads of proofide, it lasted 2 rides before almost snapping in 2 as the leather was dry in the middle.
Of course you won't be putting as much strain but might be a strap or the or the lid that breaks. -

Hi everyone,
Trying to clear some frames that are not being used.
Prices don't include postage, I can post at cost, juts need to sort out a box.
Can be picked up from Welshpool/Shrewsbury area.
Will upload pics as my slow computer lets me.
1) Orbit touring.
Reynolds 531 frame and forks.
Endless amount of braze ons for mudguards, front and rear rack, 3rd bottle bosses under downtube.
Lots of marks, scratches but no dents or dings I could find.
For 700c wheels. Tried a 700cx43 on the forks and won't clear so max 40c I would say, haven't check rear but will do if needed.
Stronglight A9 headset that feels good.
Don't be fooled by the dropped top tube, it's bigger than it looks.
54cm ctc top tube
51.5cm ctt of seat tube
50cm ctc of top tube
180mm headtube
122 rear spacing, tried a 126mm fine might even take a 130mm but haven't tried.
£90
2) Unknown Belgian/French.
Chromed Campagnolo dropouts/fork ends.
Ishiwata 022 tubing.
Again, scratches and marks but no dents or dings.
Nice stays details, cutout lugs, water bottle braze on.
Mudguard eyelets.
Converted this into to 650B (pic attached for reference).
No name headset, not perfect but works.
Included is a low mileage, expensive for what it is Velo Orange sealed bottom bracket, Kalloy/System EX seatpost and a 80mm, 26mm clamp Genetic 1"stem. I've finely sanded down the non visible part of the quill to 22m to fit the french steering tube.
Dropout adjusters are not seized just 1 is slightly off.
55cm ectc top tube.
51.5cm ctt of seat tube.
50cm ctc of top tube
122mm spacing, been running 126mm wheel no problem.
£120
3)Unknown Nervex lugs.
J Parson bodge painting on downtube.
Possibly Reynolds 531.
No dents or dings but tatty paint job.
Braze on for downtube shifter on drive side, cable stop brazed on on non drive side, possibly for bar end shifter?
Dropouts look like Campagnolo.
No frame number I could find, maybe something under the thick paint. Nothing on steerer tube, could this have been replaced?
58cm ctc top tube
59cm ctt seat tube
57.5cm ctc top tube
112mm spacing, will easily take 120mm.
£40 -
You can go fixed, singlespeed, hub gears (Sturmey Archer).
You can go period or a more practical setup, though it would be nice to fit some period parts if you’re only going to use it as a Sunday best cafe.
If setup properly cottered cranks should not be a problem.
Those braze one are for quick release wingnuts for mudguards. -

Not Jones copy as such but was considering these. Not as much sweep but more than what you've got at the moment.

You can see them fitted here (bottom of page)

Are pedal threads British?
What size chainring would you be looking to fit?
Williams, BSA and TA like the one you have some of the brands that were making 5 pin chainrings.
Though BSA and Williams would probably be for 1/8" chains.
Planet X sells Sun XCD adaptors for 110 and 130BCD chainrings. I am pretty sure is the same 5 pin pattern but not 100% sure.
