Should be no problems in the middle of the day on that line - have taken my bike similarly laden from King's Cross to Ely, a few stops before King's Lynn with no problem. Well, apart from having to balance the bike in the doorways cus there's no holders usually.
Stay in the front four carriages as the train divides at Cambridge, if it's an eight-car service.

Don't suppose anyone is selling a workstand (or knows where to get one cheap)? Sick and tired of trying to balance my bikes around the flat when anything needs doing.
In terms of new: Clas Ohlson is doing a repair stand for £75, but seems pricey.
Aldi in Ancoats still has bike stands in from their promo ages ago. Designed to store two bikes but could do double duty as a work stand according to reviews I read on Hot UK deals etc. Currently down to £14.99 as they're trying to get rid. They're designed to be screwed into the wall though.
White frame, white rims (?), white tires, black tape, being ridden by a guy in sandals on King St/Deansgate at about 9.30 pm.
Same time, a guy pushing his bike down Deansgate at the same place, green/white combinations - fleeting glimpse only.
