Turned on my old Kickr Core last night, power adapter lit up fine but lights on the unit wouldn't turn on. Jiggled the power cable to see if it was a loose connection, tried a few other things but nothing at all. 5 minutes later it magically sprung to life and I did a session on it as if normal.
Edit it's now dead

Quite an eventful ride in this morning. It's not odd to see drivers watching videos on the dashboard whilst driving, but the first time seeing a fellow commuter doing so on their handlebars complete with wired headphones. Then spotted a fantastic flat bar and had a chat with the owner, enjoy the pump track this afternoon brother. Finally got knocked off by a Lime bike user running a red light near work, sore ankle and scratched paint. The commuter in question blamed me for crossing on a green man. otherwise 8/10 would ride again.

@hazzelfrazzel it sounds like you have pretty standard tax requirements and unless there's a complicated asset situation you've not mentioned yet, all of the stuff mentioned so far you can figure out and manage yourself.
By all means if the amount of money or complexity goes up significantly then independent advice is probably a safe bet, nothing you've said so far suggests needing to pay someone...by all means do it for peace of mind/lack of time/convenience.

Ok cheers. I was about to pull the trigger on 5000AS as the last three long rides I've had on STR's have all ended up with big nicks/dynaplugs/slowly non-sealing rear tyre needing regular re-inflation.
That said none of the cuts were on the central tread so I'm sceptical the All Season would be much better, on BRR it scores higher at everything than the Mondo....except their guess at puncture protection. I'm guessing it's probably all much of a muchness between them.

Yeah, they kept saying stock was a few days out for over a week and now it's a month away. Annoyingly it's literally just the bits that screw into either side of the unit, rather than an actual axle.
The only online place that has the specific adapter kit is R2 bikes, but would need to ship to somewhere outside the UK and then get them here (R2 shipping is EUR 140).
