Nice one.
So it was the little plaque on the brick house that's relevant here.http://bermondseyboy.net/viewtopic.php?t=133
On the site of the school was the world's first food canning factory in 1812, initially selling preserved meat to the Navy. Next time you crack open a can of beans, this is where it all started.

I meant that it's happened again. It seems to have been in response to the sentencing. Same painting again and another one. Not sure how much they endeared themselves to the public the last time, so this is an interesting move if it is to work. Presumably they want as long a sentence as possible to make their point?

Not valuable but my tatty old Burley bike trailer was stolen last Tuesday from the front garden.
I've since seen it being ridden around the Stratford area with the cover removed and the seating ripped out. It's the same guy who has appeared on all the Ring doorbell footage from a string of recent thefts in the area. It looks like he's now using it to cart around stolen stuff, but his target area looks like it has just expanded.
Just a reminder basically not to leave parcels etc on doorsteps Stratford/Forest Gate area, and keep bikes locked really securely if outside. He managed to steal a bike by forcing the railings out of the front wall from a neighbour's house too and lead off the roof of another neighbour.

To save you a little wasted effort, the bus is not on its normal scheduled route for this afternoon. It's nearish to it, but not enough I would say to be much use, if I have understood these bus geeks properly.
Further clue:
Tyger tyger, burning bright
In the forests of the (park where they climb trees, sharing its name with the road where this is to be found)Pithy
Edit: as is pointed out, the original poem is Tyger, but for the purposes of this tag, it's got nothing to do with Blake; it was just the only thing I knew about this park.

Smart phone addiction. Trying different ways to cut down, and was entertaining the idea of a Nokia 6310 as a crude way of still using WhatsApp app on the move. Even that is no longer an option as Kai OS and WhatsApp are no longer friends. Also, having a half decent camera and maps in your pocket does have advantages. So it really comes down to sticking with a smartphone and making it a bit less attractive.
One thing I'm trying is turning it to greyscale, an idea from the Mac thread. For Androids, you can do it through Accessibility settings, Colour and Motion, at least from Android 13 and up. 11 doesn't have that option as far as I can see, not sure about 12.
Anyone else tried it? Turned it on yesterday, let's see how long it lasts! -
