I got a set of those £1.50 eBay lights a couple of months ago and I'm actually really impressed, they're pretty bright, certainly bright enough for just getting about on the relatively well lit streets of Bournemouth and Southampton. The only problems I've encountered are that the mounts are a bit crap and the rear light tends to turn itself on in my bag, but apart from that, for £5 posted they're pretty bitching!

I thought I was finally going to finish converting the Bianchi I got my girlfriend for her birthday into a fixed gear yesterday, all I had to do was reattach the rear wheel, as I tighten it up the skewer through the hub snaps. I must have over tightened it, now I've got to wait for a new one to arrive and it's a crappy £8 a pair jobby as opposed to the lovely campagnolo original. At least now it won't be quick release.

I'm going to try and ride my Fuji all winter this year, I'm not going to make too many changes, just a set of grippier tyres and some mud guards, I'll probably put some flat pedals on as well so I can ride it in my boots. I hope that'll be enough for the 5 mile round trip to uni during the week and the 12 mike round trip to work at the weekends, I live in Bournemouth so it's hardly going to be arctic conditions.
