Sucks about your bike getting nicked. All I can offer really are some drop bars which have been (pretty badly) cut down to bullhorns. Let me known if that'd be helpful! You can have them for a few quid towards postage (or free in the unlikely event you can collect from Bournemouth...) I'll have a root around and see if i've got anything else knocking about in a bit.

Just finished converting my old kona fire mountain to singlespeed to use as a winter beater. It's been hanging up in a cupboard at home for the last 5 years so figured I might as well use it. I've owned it from new, got it for my 14th birthday back in 1990. Just used cheap shitty parts to do it. Maybe one day i'll go all retrobike on it and restore it to how it was originally.
This looks so much fun, i've always had a soft spot for konas. I was thinking about trying something like this myself in the new year. Is it the original rear wheel you're using or something specifically single speed?

I've had a look and there doesn't seem to be too much info about computers on here. I was looking to buy a cycle computer and I can't spend much money at all. What would people recommend? I had a cateye velo 5 for about a week before I pushed a button in too far and it never came back.... That seemed ok, and is less than a tenner. Any other ideas? (also, if my poor searching ability has led to me missing a similar thread could someone point me in the right direction)

My brother told me he wanted some fingerless cycling gloves for Christmas, can anyone reccomend a pair that are a decent quality and a decent price (no more than £40 really).
Probably not worth a thread but I thought others might be looking for similar advice for family and friends who are cyclists.
