I'm in exactly the same position for next year having enjoyed the sessions I did at HH this summer. I had a good time at Saturday intermediates and Monday night race training but am looking to try out the shorter races next season. I'm all over Sunday morning sprint training.

The Felt is an awesome buy at that price (not quite so hot at £1300) but I'd still plump for the Hinde; overkill on the street perhaps but perfectly acceptable at the velodrome.

I think this is awesome; frame looks great and the spec is excellent for the price. Does anyone know how long they've been available for?

Not a dig at you Konsta but does anyone else think there should be a sticky as to whether or not Alpina track forks can be drilled? Seems to get asked every other day.

The consensus is that they can't be drilled because of some supporting metal right where the hole would go. Having said that I haven't seen the forks with this decal before so this could be a different version.

I had a feeling that I had looked on the site for information before and not found anything - probably my imagination.

So I spent a bit of time at HH last summer, both before and after the new surface; I have used this as an excuse to build up something to ride on the track when it reopens. How does one go about bagging a spot in the storage containers? Is it a case of joining a club first? I'll be glad to do so if that is the case as I want to do some racing next season anyway.

I rode my 2011 Steel at the track this year and there are no clearance issues. There was a guy who pitched up on the alu version occasionally as well.

You know what, I say go for it. I'm 6'4" and I've
been riding around on a 56 with 14cm headtube for the last few months (it has a saddle to bar drop more akin to a TT rig) and it's bearable up to 50 miles. In fact the position it forces me into is damned aerodynamic so it's fast.
