Happy Monday to my fellow Team B Members :))
Themefrom90210 ~ nice one adding the route.. just looking at it again is making me grin hugely at EVERY deviation we made. Awesome stuff :))
And re the positivity? Sure, its the only way to go... there's just no fun in being miserable, that's what I say!! ;o))misslisz ~ welcome to your Forum Post #1 ;o) ...Am also curious to see how much Boris will be chargin for the loan of his slow-mo bike. Post about the Boris Bike charges a few times to become a bonefide forum-er ;o)
~ I'm also not around for the Guinness Ride, as I'll be in the land of Guinness, drinking some Guinness there instead ;o) But, provided the forum can cope with a repeat visit of a mountain bike on the rides then I'm on to ride again :)

^bump
for those who are scared to go south of the river alone, we are meeting at russell square, the corner with Woburn Place and Bernard Street. we'll stop for provisions on the way to the main meet-up
~Hey buddy, as *still *laughing that we were all waiting just across the street from eachother and neither feeder group spotted the other!! ;oD ALL GOOD.

.... I'm sure the Greenwich Peninsula is lovely at this time of year!
...Nothing quite says Marathon Ride quite like offroading on dirt tracks beyond the O2 and then hurtling through the Greenwich Tunnell... GREAT FUN :))
Thanks to all who members of the Team B(oris) crew... wasn't quite what we started off expecting the night to be, but in my opinion our crazy little adventure was such good fun it certainly made up for any initial dissapointment ;o)
~Won't be around for the Guinness trip, but am definately up for doing more rides again. Yous are a good bunch of people: so I'll be back :))
n
ps. Looking forward to seeing the photos and also the phone tracking stats ;o))

...I've drawn out the route on a TfL biking map, seeing as I'm somewhat expecting to end up lost & last on the ride... so it'll be handy for sharing with other lost people near the back of the pack, but for speedy bikers up the front? I cross my fingers for you :)
Am also thinking -if I find the time between now & then- having a bit of a look at Google Maps street levels, just at each corner we've to turn, so will be better able to recognise the way around... has worked well for me before on previous jaunts into unknown neighbourhoods.
n
ps. 9pm start on Sunday, with the same meeting point as on page 1, am I right? Otherwise I won't be sharing my map with anyone!
- Also, about how long did it take to ride on average? Am optimistic I can ride the distance, but then keep having flashback images of the state of marathan runners each year on the telly, and realise that's with them having done some serious training for the thing! :o.
