The front rim is a ceramic mavic open pro.
so, its finally built up and ready for pub duties, just in time as i've now switched to clipless pedals on the MASH. I was having issues with 25c tyres and clearances, but managed after alot of fucking about to get it so it doesn't scrub anywhere.
apologies for more crap iphone pictures, I will get proper pictures of both bikes soon.

I've ordered the michelin's so i'll see how I get on with them. I can put a brake on it but it means swapping to the chrome forks which i don't really want to do, I've got a gatorskin somewhere I can put on the back if one of the michelin's dies on me. I can't run anything bigger than 25c on this frame and forks.
I "won" some stronglights for this on ebay yesterday so all I'm missing is pedals and it will be up and running (I think)
I'll probably just swap the MKS's off the mash onto this and then sort something new for the mash. I also purchased some black bar tape for the mash to please the masses.

the rear wont last a day if you skid on it though
cheers, i've ordered a pair of those and i think i've got hold of a rear wheel off a langster, not the best but better than that espresso wheel thats on it at the minute.

^^ rim stickers will be coming off as soon as possible but the bar tape cost me £12 so i'm getting atleast a couple of weeks use out of it!
^ me too, but I didn't really like the way it rode, and it is slightly too small for me. I just want something i'm not too fussed about to get me to the pub and back.

Hi Guys, I'm fairly new here but thought I might aswell get involved. The previous incarnation of this bike looked like this...
but as was always planned i've now swapped the frame out for an ali one in the shape of a mash
which has left me with this.
I'd planned to just build it into a ratty pub bike so began acquiring parts to get it up and running. after laying everything thing out i've realised that I'm still short of parts to build it up and that most of the parts I do have are absolutely shite, but mostly free so I can't really complain.
I've got some more bits and pieces around but its just a case of finding them. Now i'm thinking i'll just get it rolling as soon as I can and slowly upgrade it for as cheap as possible and then eventually give it a nice paintjob. Who knows, i'll just see how it goes.

It's pretty stunning - Does it have a serial#? if so, what and where - this is usually a good place to start.
What about the seatpost - is it a 27.2?
The seat-lug and fastback seat-stays are rather nice and quite striking - in general the lugwork looks like a 70's British TT bike - perhaps Dave Russell.
I did a quick google image search and came up with this match for your seat lug -
This was sold here on the forum a while back - http://www.lfgss.com/thread86086.htmlcheers guys, I can't find any numbers on it. the underside looks like this, almost like the serial has been removed?
I believe the seatpost is 27.2, i'll check when i'm home. It does look very simular to that one you have posted. thanks for the help.

This is my first post on here, so hello. Wondering if someone can help me identify this frame? I'm not holding out much hope...
when i first got it it was covered in thick powdercoat and you could hardly see the lugs. it also had a reynolds 531 sticker on it but i doubt that means anything, it wasn't even on straight. there are no markings on the frame apart from "gipiemme" on the drop outs.
sorry for the poor pictures and ignore the temporary post clamp bolt!
The steel and the mash, Not very imaginative. My bmx is called Sandra.
