Well then I'd say you'd need new brakes and cables for the Pomp - it only takes V's and cantis, if you went V's you'd probably need new brake levers too. Maybe the chain and bottom bracket given the geometry of the frame will be different.

So you hate the rims on the wheels but want to change the frame? Why not just get a new wheelset?

Updated the pomp and ditched the drops for a riser bar and a new fork - the Columbus Tusk Trekking - which look a hundred times better than the stock forks and the rake and length are exactly the same so no fucking about needed with my mudguards or anything.

Also got a bit pissed off with the cantilevers so swapping over to Avid single digit 7's at the weekend which also gives me a good excuse to stick a Minoura porteur rack on the front.

Then I might also get around to putting a photo or two up.

Even with a hacksaw you should be careful and use a higher TPI blade or even better a tungsten carbide one, I am going to guess he hasn't had much experience with carbon - either way that isn't your fault, it's the shop - they should be liable for it sorting it out and surely the fork is pretty good evidence he did things wrong!

Cycling up towards St Paul's from Bank tonight, spotted a dozy pedestrian meandering across the road in front of me, so slowed down until he crossed, only for him to step backwards right into the road (without looking) just as I went past so inevitably went straight into him.

Hip and arse are bruised to fuck, guy was really apologetic and he was pretty shaken up, plenty of friendly cyclists helped me too which was appreciated. Bike okay but more annoying is I checked my bag later on and my android tablet screen is fucked.

Tonight was a shitty cycle.

Office suggestions were - I go topless, or I just wear my fire marshals hi vis jacket, but opted to buy a cheap white tee.

Ambulance driver was a nob this morning. They swung out from behind a moving truck, no sirens, and obviously couldn't see me and just presumed the road was clear, almost went over handlebars to stop in time, shit scared for a second.

Really enjoyed my old bike with Re-Fuse's, rolled really nicely, just a single side-wall puncture due to a huge pot hole before they were worn out.
