Out of interest, what guards are these?

So the toothed ring has a spring between it and the freehub body. This engages and disengages with the teeth in the hub body. So everything locks together when you pedal and clicks away when you stop. It's a proper low pitched grumble of a click though, sounds mean. Love it.

Edit: beaten to it with a better explanation. But the teeth in the hub body aren't sprung. They're static teeth in the body for mavic.

Haha. Haribo eaten and I'm still happy with the wheels. Got the thru axle adapters off. Just waiting for the QR adapters to arrive. The freehub is crazy. 40 tooth ratchet rather than pawls. And the hub and rim are very nice in the flesh (metal).

A pair of the ksyrium? They're £500 plus everywhere else. I can't understand how wiggle have priced them at this but not gonna complain. They shall be with me on Friday!

He wants a 21mm internal width. Cos it's the cool thing now. #hype

The wheels are thru axle. Adapters available to convert to QR in 30 seconds. Or so I'm led to believe. Update to come.

Sorry they don't follow the wide hype. I'll get over it though. ;)

I found the ksyrium disc elite 2017 wheels on wiggle for an unreal wheelset price of £330. That's for the higher end ksyrium and not the weird 1900g £350 set mavic do. What's more confusing is they have those on there for the same price.

One or two of front and rear left so thought I'd share an unreal bargain.

The dt Swiss wheels I mentioned earlier are currently back in stock at wiggle. But they only gave a couple it seems so act fast. Dt Swiss r 32 disc. Circa £320 for the pair.

At £33 all in for the 400 lumen light and helmet mount from wiggle this seems really good. Really good light from the looks of it and the helmet mount looks half decent as well.

The only way I could remedy it is by changing both the stock pads and rotor. Great calipers though.

I saw these and the cost and weight seem pretty good.
I asked @Dick for his opinion and he just told me that fulcrum are campagnolo and therefore not to bother.
So no, I have no idea but I'm sure they're good wheels, unless the spokes require a weird tool? Are they normal nipples?

Definitely don't get the cosine then (my advice is flakey at best though as it's only based on the reviews of others).

I read a lot of the reviews and whilst they are lightweight, apparently they are also very flexy. (This is based on the reviews on wiggle).

So it depends. Are you averaging a lotta watts? Don't get the cosine.

Also, the hunt wheels. They are just novatec hubs. Nothing particularly wrong with them, just making you aware.

No, that's fair, I would also expect a more expensive item to be of better quality. But a couple of years usage followed by a £10 repair is pretty decent in my books. Though my Lezynes have been fault free for 2.5 years. knock on wood...

Also, you'll only ever hear about the problems. People don't tend to preach about how little trouble they've had with a light compared to the number of people that preach about a problem...

So my commute this morning highlight two things. The roads I use are poorly lit and there are a lot of parked cars, forcing drivers to edge out between them to see if the coast is clear.
So I'm after a helmet light to accompany my illuminated bicycle for over the parked car visibility. Any recommendations? Are these £15 Cree led ones on eBay as shit as I imagine they are? (Based solely on the cost)

I've got the rws skewers as well and since getting them I now only get a whole load of wheel flex from the cheap aksiums. No rotor rubbing on the pads under load though. Spot on solution.
