I had terrible judder on my front brake with a trp spyre and 160mm rotor. Copper grease on the back of the pads seems to have resolved that but I did also put new pads in at the same time... so could be either.

Since the downfall of nuun I've tried several brands and have stuck with high5 zero as well. Not as good as old school nuun but it's ok.

Worth a shot I suppose yeah. I've dropped dt Swiss an 'I'm disappointed' email. The road version of this skewer seems to be out of stock pretty much everywhere so gonna struggle to replace it without their help.

I wouldn't say I was overtightening them but either way that's the end of the dt Swiss rws skewer...

But disc brakes do mean you'll never wear a rim out again... not that we wouldn't buy new fancy wheels before the fancy wheels we currently have wear out anyway...

So maybe I'll try some other organic pads from another manufacturer...

Weird, they're new pads and I think they're aligned. Braking performance is good but initially when they bite they squeal and then after a few seconds they stop but I'm still braking. I'll try checking alignment again and maybe give the rotor a clean with appropriate fluids.

So are organic pads noisier than sintered pads in the wet? My brakes will squeal when I first pull them and then go silent after surface water has been removed (so I know the brake pads aren't contaminated, at least not permanently). Was wondering if in the wet there are pads that don't cause the squeal? Currently using some organic/Kevlar pads from uberbike.

That fork looks identical to the Genesis equilibrium disc fork I have. I suspect it's from the same manufacturer. If so, I use 160mm rotor with spyre with no adapter.
You'd need the magical inverse shim to use 140mm.

I've got one of those lightweight pro team gilets. The one with a mesh back. Medium in black. Got it late 2016 but it's a bit flappy. Anyone got a small they may want to swap? Mine has a two way zip but don't mind a single zip. Long shot but fingers crossed.

I've got a set of mavic aksium disc 6 bolt wheels that are surplus to requirement now. A bit dirty but true and smooth. Includes QR skewers and bolts for fitting rotor (12 in total).

Try lazer, I think they are 'one size fits all' with a wide range of adjustment. Or s/m and m/l. So the bigger size, you shouldn't be at the bottom of the band. I have a slightly smaller head than you and had a lazer and it fits nicely.

The frame set I got came with the barrel adjusters not greased.
They seized in 3 months and I had to get them drilled out (genesis supplied replacement adjusters but that's all). I didn't check if they were greased as they come fitted. Get them greased before you build it up.

Cool, any lbs should be able to sort you out. I built up an equilibrium and it was the single job I didn't have the tools for myself.

Not sure on the paint. You could probably try emailing genesis for a ral code or something? Maybe even see if they have more bottles of touch up paint they can provide. Couldn't comment on whether one bottle was enough though, I've only ever painted walls.

The headset is pressfit so doesn't just pop in like the name implies. Need a headset press tool.
Also, the paint sample is touch up paint for any scratches.

That road is actually flat isn't it? Basing that on the building lines running parallel and 90 degrees to the floor. I can't understand pretending to be on a hill when you could actually just take the picture on a hill.

Wonder if it'll be a pro team or a core replica thingy?
