SOLD SOLD SOLD
Hi all,
I am selling these two 650B french mixed bicycles. Pick up from New Cross SE14.
£40 each or £60 for the pair. Would make a nice singlespeed town cruiser or could be used for parts.
Both with swept back bars / mudguards / rear racks / dynamo / nic chain guard. Tubing is french gas pipe so nothing fancy!
The first one is a Poulidor, gold in colour, size is 52cm ST and 58cm TT (projected).
The second one is a Peugeot Helium, blue in colour, size is 52cm ST and 56cm TT (projected).
Parts wise, it's all likely to be french threaded (due to age, I have not checked) so the stem / pedals / headset / bottom bracket could sell alome for more than the asking price on eBay. Also the cockpits are worth a bit so you could buy & split on eBay if you were so inclined.
650B wheels are back on trend so someone might be in the market for the rims alone!
Pick up from New Cross SE14 and if not sold this week, both bike will head to @Thrasher at The Bike Project in Camberwell.
SOLD SOLD SOLD
Any questions please ask!

Pinarello Monviso project.
Frameset purchased off @cake
Currently looking for headset ball bearings for the Campagnolo headset lower bearing (about 5mm diameter).
Then I can refit the forks, put some wheels on & try to remove the bottom bracket cups!
I have an old Shimano 105 1055 triple groupset I am planning on using for it.
All beater grade. -
Just finished putting together this 1990 Giant Cadex 980 C.
Thanks to @TTM who had gave me loads of like bike sundries including that nifty little Jagwire cable holder clip thingy!
The bar tape was NOS but didn't like being kept in the attic with the 40+ degrees heat so will need to be replaced.
The FD mechanism has play in it and will need replacing. I am surprised there aren't many braze on options around!

Sorry to hear about this and I am surprised the EA had not flagged up this potential mortgage during viewings.
I was also in a similar situation a few years back for a flat above a commercial unit in Camberwell. What I took from it was not to look at victorian type flats above commercial units ever again, unless I was a full cash buyer!

I will have a full BMX + parts (from @TTM) to drop off to the Depford location.
I will check opening times and swing by this weekend.
I have loads of tubular rims as well but I dount that'll be of any use?
@Thrasher let me know and I will drop off at the same time -
Hi @damn_seagulls & @JamesThomson
The frameset is still available, yes!
Happy to drop off in London if you happen to be between my house (New Cross SE14) and my work (Goodge Street)

I have to give Schwalbe a public apology as I was previously saying that their cargo specific tyres - the Pick Up - were making the front end of my Douze feel super heavy.
I had all 4 steering cables replaced by London Green Cycles and they were the issue - not the tyres.
Now my steering issues are rectified, the tyres feel great.

what do people reckon the best locks are for a cargo bike?
I have:
- a D1000 Hiplok - https://hiplok.com/product/hiplok-d1000-anti-angle-grinder-bike-lock-waitlist/
- a Kryptonite NEW YORK FAHGETTABOUDIT CHAIN 1415 - https://www.kryptonitelock.com/en/products/product-information/current-key/999492.html
- a Monimoto Tracker - https://monimoto.com/uk/shop/
- Insurance
Still feels like it isn't sufficient in London!

Last Friday, someone stole the e-assist controller of my Douze, which has an MPFDRIVE assistance.
It happened on Whitfield Street, near Goodge Street Station during standard working hours.
A bit pointless since MPFDRIVE where never imported in the UK but I am sure the person has their reasons for stealing just that and not my bike lights.
Now liaising with the EU importer who is based in Vienna to see if I can even get a replacement.
The bike still works, just no e-assist.
