I brought this from dbr last week as a first step towards using a geared bike.
It really is a beautiful bike and very fast.

BUT the racer riding position is not for me and being a proper race frame it has no option of putting on a rear rack which I realised is a must if doing any sort of tour.

Here's what dbr had to say about it

Gazelle Champion Mondial A-Frame with butterfly brake-bridge and beautiful sparkly "Brussels Blue" paint along with white lug lining. BEZEMER decals on the seat-tube add a little character. This may have been a bike shop in the Netherlands who used to have a team - it may well have been ridden in competition. The paintwork is certainly in great nick and it has a bracket for racing numbers.

The frame has a 53cm ctc seat tube and a 54cm ctc top tube.

Built up with:

• Shimano 105 brakes, levers, DT shifters, F+R mechs
  
• 600 Tricolour cranks
  
• Campagnolo hubs with origional shiney QR skewers
  
• Mavic MA40 rims
  
• Campagnolo Aero seatpost

N.B. One pedal is missing a dust cap and one brake lever is missing a plastic insert. You could probably get both on ebay if you're a perfectionist.

The wheelset was newly laced when I bought it, the rims being NOS, it's probably done 100 miles since then and has only a thin line of brake wear on one side of the front, apart from that they're mint.

She's a beaut and deserves to see some miles this summer.

I have never mailed a bike before and don't really want to take it apart.
The bike is currently sitting indoors in my office in soho and has done about 30 miles by me. So it is still in the same condition I got it.
It really is a beautiful build that should be seeing the light of day!
The first words of any one who see's it are usually 'nice'.

I am asking for £SOLD please.
Viewings at lunch times and after work are preferable in the soho area but my work can be flexible on some days so I can meet you at odd times during the day.

Just a shame that a race bike is not my thing.

Hi All

I have had this frame sitting in the garden for a while.
It needs wheels, handle bars and probably a new chain ring.

It still has the Curry's badge on the front.

When researching the make I found that Curry's the electrical store started off as a home ware shop and sold bicycles.
This model might be from the period when BSA made bikes for Curry's.

It is pillar box red and is quite heavy.
Small frame for 5'10" max.

Come take it away and make it ride once more please.

Looking for a good bike for my boy to learn on.
Yes it is a little late for teaching him, being 9 already, but better late then never.

I live in shepherds bush and work in Soho area if that helps.

I wouldn't mind building a bike if there are parts out there you lovely people are willing to sell.
