Yes I'm not one for wanting people to lose their jobs, especially in these times. But a road awareness course combined with some psychotropics probably would not do him any harm,
You could take exactly the opposite view. In these economicaly straitened times jobs belong to those who deserve them.
The man is supposed to be a professional driver and uses his company vehicle in an agressive and dangerous fashion not only endangering you but bringing his company into disrepute. Does he deserve the job just because he has it or should someone else get it?
Actions have consequences and drivers need to fucking know it.

I absolutely fucking detest 'in terms of'. I scream inwardly (inwardly scream - discuss) every time I hear it used. It's so fucking lazy and sounds absolutely stupid. Why can't people think for a moment before rushing off into a sentence that requires this hideous rubbish.
Perhaps this is too much of a controversy (CONtroversy - let's get into pronunciation)

Whyte 19ti build is 10.8kg
That's only 1kg more than my crosser with its training wheels on.
I can get it down to 10.5kg with the hollowgrams on it :)
I thought that was pretty heavy at 23.8lbs for a Ti hard tail and £3k but when I looked at the spec it seems less XC oriented than my build having 120mm forks, 711mm width bars! Also some cost cutting with FSA chainset, non XTR cassette etc.
Mine own Salsa build is 21.9lb without stupid stuff. Merlin £400 wheels, XTR 3x10, Rockshox SIDs, Hope Race X2s. Well some stupid stuff (ti stem, bars and post) but that added weight.
Self build was only a tiny bit north of £3k but the Ala Carte frame was half the price allowing the weight saving full XTR and Hope race.
Best money I've ever spent - just stunning to ride. It's lighter than my Enigma Etape road bike. If there is a downside it's that I have become utterly obsessed about drive train cleaning given the cost of XTR cassette and chainrings.

I don't like cycling with my son because when he drops me I'm an old fart and when I drop him I'm a vindictive old fart. The former is happening a lot more often than the latter..............
In truth cycling with a loved one or handing a loved one a bike brings into focus the dangers we don't think about much. My heart fell when my son got into road rather than mtb.

Favourite roundabout for cornering fun. Approach at speed, heel in, lurid rear wheel slide, pedal digs in and high side onto head with lesser impact on elbow and ass.
Stunned and double sight for 10s. Head really hurt. Sort self at side of road and head home. Wonder why such bad headache until I see helmet. Giro fucked with big dent and many large cracks. Elbow sorted with dressings left over from last skinning.
Forgo Sunday evening wine and tell wife in case of side affects. This generates much ear ache.

The reason you see so many badgers dead at the side of the road* is that the little fuckers think their stripy heads are legally mobile zebra crossings, which give them a divine right to step in to the road and vehicles are obliged to stop.
- do you? really? I've seen maybe one in 10 or more years of living in the sticks
A significant proportion of badgers dead by the side of the road (and there are a large number around my neck of the woods) have met their end by means other than being hit by a car as it's the safest way to get rid of the evidence and is less labour intensive than using a shovel.
I suspect that the density of gamekeepers and/or dairy farming would have an effect on the number found dead by the side of the road.

I'm all about retrospective awards to 12th place finishers. serious. Fair's fair, any cunt that got popped for doping in the interim can just suck it as the prize money gets grabbed back and given to the poor fucker who got robbed of the victories and is probably now working as a taxi driver or cafe owner in Nantes.
Right, 1999...
Van de Wouwer. Stand up, come and collect your medal. You came 11th and you've got a funny name. And you're Belgian. Great. Here you are.... How does it feel to be winner of the 1999 Tour de France? We've got the same podium girls here... Oh. Well Stephanie lost a leg 3 years ago and Sylvie's had 3 kids and 9 boob jobs. still... And the champagne... 1999 vintage. Oh it's corked, never mind. Here's the cheque... what do you mean is that all? Have you never heard of inflation? It's not my fault the banks took the piss. Well it will buy you a new fiat punto, don't be so ungrateful. The Advertising contracts? Yes, of course-there's a new brand of incontinence pads for men that are hunting around for a new brand ambassador? No, well how about Admiral life insurance? Go Compare? No. Well if you're going to be like that there's not much i can do. No, Trek are aparently leaving cycling. So are Nike. Nissan? No. Look, just take the cash and piss off...
This should have a wider audience - brilliant!

I went with a Fizik Gobi XM kium rails for my hardtail MTB. It's so comfortable it feels like suspension - amazing. Incipient WW tendencies then came to the fore and I got the top of the range carbon hull and rails version when one came up cheap on ebay. It must have been made by Torquemada - akin to sitting on a board.
I'm getting another kium version for my road bike.
Likewise would love to meet up at Swinley.
