Supermad is back again, even bigger and better than before.
Spectating is free and there will be the usual mix of top quality racing, cracking beer courtesy of the lovely folk at Canopy Beer Co , Captain Cliff's jerk chicken BBQ, good tunes and fun times.
As well as the headline madison races, we have women's races, support endurance races, the famous Ron Beckett double harness pursuit - a madison pursuit with mixed male/female teams - and this year the sprint is part of the British Cycling national sprinters league, so we will have some of the best sprinters in the country and from overseas fighting for top honours.
There is tasty prize purse of £1500+ and we pride ourselves on the fact the women's prizes are equal to the main men's prizes, with the Friends of Herne Hill Velodrome donating £200 for the women's keirin for the third year in a row.
We will also have some amazing winners jerseys and caps, custom made for us by Laché London
This is always a fantastic day of racing, hopefully we'll see some of you there. For those of you who want to race, entries are open on the British Cycling events page, £15 in advance or £25 on the day for women and support endurance - madison and sprint will have no entry on the day.
More info and race program on the BC events page and the Supermad Facebook page
PS thanks yet again to @6pt for the amazing posters.

I was off the bike and only spectating last night. I left early because of the messed up trains and missed @Ecobeard smashing the the B cat devil. And it still took me two hours to get home ffs.

Or have I got the wrong end of the stick entirely?
Yep, wrong Farnborough. 8 miles according to the googles

@Tricky_Business sounds like if you don't get on with the Endura you might want something custom made?
Possibly, wallet and wife permitting ;)
I'm off to the nationals at the weekend, I'll take a picture of all the crap I take with me and you can laugh at my failed attempt to get it all into the track centre in one go.

Race clothes (lots if away for a race weekend), civvy clothes (same), towel, cycling shoes, helmet, gloves, trainers, glasses (racing and civvy), wash bag, several water bottles, protein shaker, EAI tote bag with tools, chainrings & sprockets etc, food, wallet, keys, phone, pen, notebook, laptop (for donkey porn if away), salami, beers, plus various other bits of miscellaneous crap.
Then the large stuff like track pump, rollers and wheels.
I've been struggling to find the perfect track bag for years. I drive to the track most of the time so have a huge cheap puma wheeled kit bag, which is perfect when lugging stuff from the car park to track centre, unfortunately there aren't many compartments so it's a bit of a ball ache hunting around for stuff (phone & keys usually) in there quickly.
If also have a trolley that I sometimes bungee bag, rollers, pump and wheels to but it's a bit of a faf so I don't bother most of the time.
The bag is finally on it's way out after four years of solid abuse so I've just ordered one of these:
I like that it's well compartmentalised, pretty big and has wheels and a changing mat but it's still not perfect.
Ideally for track it would have a built in tool section like the keirin tote bag and clips/hooks/webbing on the outside for attaching track pump, rollers, wheels and other assorted crap that always make the journey from car park to track centre a painful juggling act.
For non race days when I don't need to lug a whole load of crap with me or when I'm riding my road bike to track league I would also like to find a large courier bag with built in tool/chainrings/sprockets section and space for kit/water/food etc.

By coincidence I was looking for some info about this the other day as the charger connection has broken on my iphone.
Found some very useful information here

Yeah, Roadmans is going to be buggered :( It's a war of attrition as it is, it'll be carnage with a small field.
I don't see it being a problem at league at the moment, but if it does get more popular then they may have to resort to entry in advance only like LVVP league. That would be really crap.
