I'm riding with a group of pals at the end of October from Dunkirk to Bruges. Not far - about 50miles.

Anyone here done it? Looks pretty flat going by google maps.

Also, any tips of where to go in Bruges? Hoping to avoid any gangster shoot-outs :-)

Just remembered I saw a guy in his 50s probably last week on a folding bike wearing standard office clothes and a rain mac... as well as an aero helmet.

Mad how some are wearing winter gear at the moment. One guy this morning had on those mitten gloves that look like lobster claws. he was drenched in sweat too.

Was behind a bloke in office wear trundling around E&C on some big old mountain bike earlier. Coming up to the left turn to go up London road, the lights are red with a bus waiting.

This guy follows another rider and starts going up its inside just as the lights are changing to green. Luckily it was a really on the ball driver as he started to go then clearly realised what this idiot was doing and stopped, waited to see if any other people were going to do it and carried on.

The nodder then jumped a red and when I caught up with him he was busy looking at a map on his phone mounted on his handlebars - difficult to get lost in central London eh? I told him he could get killed riding like that. He just looked at me with a blank expression and said "oh, really?"

Was advising a chap at mornington crescent to get some pedal straps when out of the corner of my eye I see a bloke on a folding bike faceplant into the pavement. No idea what happened to him, but he was up and walking about in no time!

Hmm, good question! I'm not going to need one much, so I am wondering whether I should just stick with using a shop. I want it for medium format as well as 35mm

Saw a mini crash yesterday evening on Tufnell Park Road. Guy up ahead of me was too close to the car in front of him. Car stopped for zebra crossing and the guy obviously wasn't concentrating hard enough and I think he went into the car. Anyway, his back wheel shot in the air. He said he was OK. Looked a bit embarrassed.

What's a good, relatively cheap negative scanner that one can buy?

Was behind a range rover the other day who had stopped to let a van turn across and park in a space on our side of the road. Instead of just waiting 3 nodders carried on up the inside forcing the van to sit right in everyone's way and hold everyone else up. Clueless
