The belt drive two speed moulton is great and real fun to ride, but it's an OTP bicycle in the end with standard part.
Sorry, ignorant newbie, who knows nothing of bicycle haute couture. Also I have a notion of building something around the same hub. I just like the "No nonsense, what else do you need?" stance of this model and it is one of only two bikes that I think looks good in orange, the other being the humble but worthy bTwin Vitamin.
Small pic just as reminder and in no way asserting that this is "Bike Porn":

Dawes Junior Kingpin (cannot find a picture of the Junior): my first bike in 1970, gold frame, single speed, did not fold despite the name. Bomb proof quality bike, rode it like a BMX and MTB before either were invented, took anything thrown at it including 'backies' for my mates. Grew out of it eventually.
2nd hand Hercules Hustler, just like the above: boys 3-speed 'racer' with drops, superb unappreciated Chopper killer, wanted a 10-speed. Rammed from behind by car 1976, lived on with new back wheel, rode into back of parked van circa 1977, lived on with new forks then sold on to be unappreciated by another youngster.
Viscount Aerospace 10-speed racer, rode it round the Peak District, killed it with neglect.
Dawes Windsor, budget hi tensile frame version of galaxy, loved it, stolen from shed in Essex mid 1980s.

28 years old 531 Overbury's touring bike, 6-speed triple (still with original Biopace!)
Pacific Reach folder with f & r suspension, 8-speed double
Specialized Allez Sport Triple 9-speed
Carrera Subway 8 commuter with Shimano 8-speed internal hub gears: £120 shop soiled bargain
Remains of another Subway 8 with knackered hub: possible project?? -

Gone but not forgotten: bikes I used to own:

Dawes Synthesis Hybrid, bit dull, stolen from shed in Cornwall mid 1990s.
Carrera rigid MTB, sold to mate (not bad actually).
Moulton APB S7 with SA Sprinter 7 hub gear, comfy, heavy, troublesome hub, sold to someone in Japan via eBay for a small profit.
GT Aggressor 3, totally worn out and knackered after two years light use on trails etc.

Intro post 2 (how am I doing?)

Hi all, intro post:
CTC member (have regulation beard but no SPD sandals), back into cycling two years ago after decades away, tend to ride long rather than quick, did first century last year, plus the odd Audax including Dartmoor Devil. Cycle to work 6 slightly hilly miles each way every day plus ~70 miles most Sundays with friends from CTC. Would like to do more Audaxes this year, including a 200K.
All multi-geared bikes at the moment and not too sure re. single speed or fixed in Cornwall due to the steep little hills. Signed on here hoping to get technical advice to possibly build project around the S2C hub.
I'll give you that one.
