There's no way you'd find someone of equal quality or potential for that price. £1m and a loan back to the end of the season might see us through a rocky patch, but it doesn't really solve any of our problems.
From a positive point of view, we didn't spend anything on him when we signed him for the youth team from Arsenal, but it would be nice to get through this admin process without being completely stripped of assets first.

Jody Morris is the tactician. If he is on board then you'll be alright.
Frank will get more out of the younger players who will see him as the player they idolised growing up. The older heads might be harder for him to get on board.
He'll say the right things and his media mates will lavish him with praise when he winds and protect him from criticism when he loses. I don't expect him to turn things around dramatically, but the ship will be steadied for a little while.

He’ll do fine at Everton if they understand that they’re unlikely to be finishing top half for the next couple of seasons. He needs Jody Morris with him though to do all the work behind the scenes while he goes on a media charm offensive.
Best news of the day was hearing that Rooney turned down the opportunity to interview for the position when Everton approached him.

Sorry for the Daily Hail link (I hate myself already), but this article by Martin Samuel is probably the best summary of our situation on a national level so far and is a good read if you want to understand some of the many crazy things that have happened, that could see the end of DCFC in less than 2 weeks...
The EFL have shown so much ineptitude over the past few years (probably more) and not just with this case. They aren't fit for purpose and their rulings and interpretations of their own rules have seen (and will see more) clubs going under.
Fuck Morris and fuck Gibson. Just let us get on with getting the club in a position we can operate again.
