I’m not old enough to remember the last time Derby were in the 3rd tier and I was really hoping that the team could make the impossible happen and overturn the 21 point deficit, but we’ve come up short with a team of teenagers and over 30s players who are past their prime.
However, the passion and togetherness of the Derby supporters has never been so strong and there’s one person who has brought everyone together while the club is been going through it’s shittest time in its history. Rooney.
Honestly, he’s been the glue that has kept the team together, given young players the confidence to go out and play against seasoned pros without fear, kept the pressure on the administrators to sort out the finances while trying to hold on to whatever players we can, kept the supporters believing that we have something to fight for and much much more. The guy is class.

I want it to be back and regular again. I think the early instalments weren’t quite right, the venue (Canada heights) was great, but we clashed with other CX races and our entrants were mostly London based without cars, so it was hard to get to.
Making the races singlespeed or tracklocross only and shifting to a more central location was certainly the right move and hopefully we can do more of these.
ThunderCrit will hopefully be announced soon and if there’s time for a ThunderTrack then we’ll try for that too.

Lampard without Jody Morris is all style and no substance.
I get that he wanted to prove that he could do the job without his right hand man, but obviously it’s not working. Ashley Cole and Paul Clement assisting? Fucking jokes. Even Clough had to have Peter Taylor with him to get the best out of their squads.
If you decide to go for Rooney when Frank is fired then I hope Derby go for Morris (Jody, not Mel…) to replace him.
