You'll have to go via an agency, there's no way out.
Russian government LOVE bureaucracy. They are not very friendly either... -

Time to take it off, and let the hose roam free on London streets !
http://wiki.worldnakedbikeride.org/wiki/London
Assembly area
You can assemble for the ride in the South-East corner of Hyde Park (near to Wellington Arch and Hyde Park Corner) any time between 3:00 and 3:30pm. You can stay dressed as long as you want, but don't get undressed before 3:00pm. If you turn up before 3:00pm, Stewards will ask you to leave and return at 3:00. See the section below to read why. Be prepared to form up ready for departure at about 3:25pm. The ride will be starting at 3:30pm.Ride length
9 miles. Very few hills. An easy, leisurely ride!.Finish
In 2011 the plan is to finish the at the Wellington Arch - i.e. back to an almost circular route. When you arrive at the end of the ride, congratulate yourself and fellow riders on staging a successful protest. -

Look half way down on this thread..I tried mixing old and new and it doesn't IMHO work. Whereas a carefully put together restoration looks beautiful..
You have to have a modern bike and an old one. In between just looks in between.I've seen many nice restorations on this forum, but in the end it's nothing very exciting or personal (to me).
If you're
analobsessivededicated enough to strip off a pretty sound looking, smart, some would even say schweet paintjob - and replace it with, it has to be said, another pretty fine one - because it had the wrong decals on, you're not gonna fuck up on the build. Because there will be dissapoint.
I can if I want, as long as I like the contrast. It's all about personal appreciation IMHO. -

@Skully: yep, I planned to visit Modelzone in Holborn ASAP. They have quite a good selection in store.

Got a built pic?
does he rattle can?
Thanks.
Vaz doesn't rattle can, he has a proper workshop.
It is not built yet. First as between the frame and the paint job, my fixie budget is a bit on the low, and then because I want to find good deals on specific parts, which might take some time.My main idea is to mix modern and classic parts, not to do a straight renovation job. From what I've read around here, some forumengers might have a light stroke when they see the heretic final result hehehe...

That's me. Our garage. Our bikes.
Including two fixies (three if you count the S3X) and some unique, irreplaceable machines.
Please keep an eye out for 'em, folks.
Holy crap, so many bikes, I feel really sorry for you guys ! I work in Ealing so will definitely keep my eyes open.I also found this quite irritating :
Although the bikes were insured, we’ve initially been told by the insurance company that they won’t pay out. Apparently they changed the wording on our policy to exclude rented garages, despite us specifically asking for such cover when we took it out.
Could you please keep us posted on your fight with these pigs as well ? -
How long ago was it painted - did you build it immediately, or wait a bit?
Well, right after it dried actually. When I put the frame around my neck to ride back home from the workshop, my fault really...
Mario gave me a sample of the metallic blue for touch-ups, but I had to chip the white/cream forks ! -

the horrible rim colour isn't for me.
They are wood rims from Cerchio Ghisallo.*"These robust wood rims are artisan made by Antonio Cermenati in Magreglio, Italy. They are constructed of aged Slovenian beechwood, assembled in thin laminations that are joined by 2-part epoxy in a proprietary process that the Cermenati's have been perfecting for over 60 years.
Wheels made with wood rims have an unmistakable liveliness and exceptional shock absorption, yet surprising strength and damage resistance." *
