We went for Open House a few years ago. The views from the top are brilliant and an angle you don’t normally get along the river. Also the control room has all the original control panels and is amazing.

The current tag appeared in my Twitter feed in the same day as the tagging. Might have been more appropriate if it had appeared in my dreams, and then we could all discuss what it meant.

If it’s at all reassuring I had the Pfizer jab, felt a bit rubbish that evening and the next day (but nothing a paracetamol couldn’t sort) and fine the day after, same with my partner and same with my mother and the AZ. Anecdata I know but the sense of relief is huge.

I’ve got severe asthma, been hospitalised a couple of times (though not for about 4 years - currently controlled with inhaled steroids) and attend the asthma clinic at GSTT. I had the vaccine a few weeks ago - though unclear whether they were applying criteria or just working their way down the asthma clinic’s patient list to try and fill gaps as it sounded like there were lots of no shows. I was asked if I wanted a shielding letter ... I declined.

I’m not so sure - it’s got a financial backer, who has a background in venture capital (I think) and seems very keen. I think the risk is more that, in the absence of someone pushing the better route, this is let through because of the public clamour for something to happen

Fulham Reach is an amazing club that does loads of work with local state schools and is making rowing much more inclusive Would be a real shame if a route was chosen that made operating the club impossible (and as a frequent rower on that stretch of the Thames it is super tricky - the stream really picks up past their pontoon and launching or turning small boats between a bridge and a busy ferry would be treacherous.)

A functioning pedestrian bridge would clearly be ideal - doesn’t really feel like the mark of dynamic society that we’re replacing the bridges (that replaced ferries) with ferries

Ah, got it. I do recognise the houses now - have passed the end of the road many times and tortured myself by looking to see if we could ever afford to live there (we couldn’t). Not going to make it there and back in my allotted exercise slot, unless I discover new levels of fitness to power up whichever one of the hills I choose to get me there.
