i'm 8.5/9 and 43's fitted fine...very old lace up ones mind. Had a newer pair (with velcro and rachet system) in 42...slightly too small. If that helps.....

if you machined as the braking surface is a different colour to the that "between" the spokes.....then no
if you mean machined as in a surface treatment of the braking surface resulting in a tighter tolerance..then I don't know.

are the stems 26.4 or 26.0?

I had a few problems when setting up soundcards...and don't think i finally sussed it. It depended on whether you were using/running Jack or Pulse....

I think you can find the name of your soundcard in Hardware/Systems settings......or there is a hardware list for the commandline (type man hardware or something)

I'll have a look tomorrow and see what my settings are.
