NOW SOLD thank you
I'm selling my Steamroller, reluctantly, to fund a new geared bike as my commute is changing from 4.5 to 15 miles.
It's a 53cm, in black, with the Surly Open Bar; not even a year old (bought in May 2012). It's pretty much as stock apart from the following additions:
- 19T standard fixed cog swapped for a 16T, and a Dicta freewheel - 18T I think but will check - on the other side;
- SKS black chromos, now removed but which I'll throw in if they're of use to you;
It's in almost mint condition (a tiny, almost invisible graze on the top tube from where I leant it against a wall; and a scratch on the bars from where I came off once; and some rubbing on the front fork from where I'd P-clipped the mudguard on).
The Brooks isn't included. If you need pedals and clips to get you going I'd be happy to throw in some Wellgo track pedals + nylon clips and straps which I used on the bike for most of the time I had it (also have some MKS Sylvan track, two months old, which I can include for an additional sum).
I'm in Norwich. I'd rather not post but can do... have a bike box at the ready.

you're right, but I'm not running a rear brake so no problem for me. But now I'm confused... Aches and Pains, I assumed you meant cut a hole to accept the bottom of the brake bridge but then couldn't quite figure out how to zip tie it differently that way so as to keep it up, so then wondered if you meant fit the whole guard over the top of the bridge. Is that what you meant? see my confusing pic attached....

I'm not running a rear brake either. The problem was that there's so little clearance that the metal bridge holds the guard too low. So I figured I could file the hole in the bridge down, right to the point where it bends to attach to the guard, but it looked as though it still wouldn't hold it high enough. I figured it might be because I'm running 32s and that maybe it just doesn't work for 32s + full guards. Are you running tyres that fat too?
Yes, unfortunately. I don't think the bits would fetch enough by themselves, and also it commits me to weeks of selling bits, and I'm moving house soon so could do without the hassle. Sorry; hope you find one elsewhere.
