Did a search on this and found nothing.
Considering building up a decent aluminium frame to ride down to herne hill (hopefully it's still there when I get back) flip the wheel and bring it onto the track.
Does anyone have any experience with this frame?
Are there much better aluminum alternatives?
Is the idea of riding it down to HH and flipping the wheel retarded or completely doable? Also noticed that it seems a little overpriced here in the UK at 699gbp compared to its U.S $799 pricing, anyone know a more economical stockist?

cheers in advance -

Seeing as you'll be there for a bit register on fixed.org.au and go to the perth section (link below) they'll give you some local advice.

I'm on my way back from Sydney where I was for 2 years. It's not exactly the same but my experience was in the summer all I wore were standard enduro shorts, rapha short sleeve base layer and an airy set of socks coupled with sidi doms. The biggest annoyance on any ride was just the amount of bloody sweat you built up so like Velocio says, wick it up.
As for winter - prepare for quite chilly nights as you'll be used to the hot weather and now become a pussy to cold climates. I wore baselayer, jersey and jacket in the coldest Sydney weather but it's probably not even close to european cold. Also prepare for it to rain out of the blue like you've never seen before.
Hope that helps

tekken has consistently awesome music, street fighter has consistently awful music.
WHAT?! I do believe this defined an era...

I'm very tempted to get Batman Arkham (sp) asylum. my little brother described it to me as "a bit like Assassin creed, but you have to creep around in the shadows and kill people with batman gadgets". sounds like a win to me (also only £20!)
Arkham Asylum is one of the best games i've played this gen. A must-play for anyone who even remotely likes having fun.

...what I don't know is the terrible (in today standard) character model, with the beautiful senario, could they not brush up their character better without looking like a robot off an early episode of Doctor Who?
Even the original Bioshock character model were better frankly.
This was also a nagging annoyance. I also failed to get emotionally invested in any of the characters when they couldn't even get the lip sync down to that of Thunderbirds standards.

I'd read nothing about it (except some vague reference to Twin Peaks) and played it almost entirely at night and in the dark on my own. And went through it over a few nights. The shadowy figures kept my heart pumping right to the end, although it was certainly repetitive (point flash-light, doge flying axe, point flash-light, shoot, repeat). It really put me on the edge of my seat - to such a degree that at points I was reluctant to explore areas that didn't seem to be the direction that story wanted me to go (unless I was being encouraged to go there with the glowing paint). I may be easily amused though.
The TERRIBLE dialogue in Alan Wake made me rip my jaw off...
The lights go out
"The lights were completely out"
ROOOOOOOAAAAARRRR
"I heard a deafening roarr"
ALAN!!
"someone was screaming my name..........................Alan..............Alan was my name" -

This is solving for me-
-shitting myself about my bike locked up outside during the pre or post-work gym
-work not letting me put my bike inside and continue shitting during work
-lugging a massive pack of clothes around everydayIf the gym's actual free weights area isn't shite and underground locking is 24hr I'll cough up the pennies now before the permanent lockers disappear.

It's an 80's or early 90's Eric Hendren (Hoffy) 531 frame built out of Queensland. Apparently built as a dual purpose TT/Track frame. Got it off an aussie fixed.org forumer, believe he was in Brisbane. The compenents were scraped together for a previous build and seeing as I wanted an Aussie memento when I returned to the UK I thought it was just dandy.

Morning all. Returning to London after a couple of years working in Sydney. I'll probably be around south and soho areas from early December onwards. So give us a shout if you see me, name's Olsen.

yeah they're bloody stupid specially with the slope and now higher saddle. Swapped them for risers about 2 hours after I tried hill climbing in Sydney like a hunched over dribbly.
