I'm attempting to swap out the solid axle in my front High flange Campangolo Record Pista Hub for an equivalent quick release axle that will take a pitlock skewer. I'd rather this than buy the MASSIVE and expensive track nut version.
Anyone know the right axle length and diameter? don't have the wheel on me to find out..
Is there any reason why putting a pitlock in your track hub would not be advisable?

So, yesterday.. Mercedes wielding maniac lady stops in the middle of the road and reverses into me. Didn't have the presence of mind to get her reg. Then..I realised to my horror the pretty unique and original forks on my 531 Alan Shorter track bike are now bent backwards from the crown down to the point where my front wheel is touching the downtube. I've thought about bending them back myself, I've got a desk vice and the manpower.. but I know that'll severely compromise the strength of the metal.
Called bob Jackson and other well known framebuilders and tried to get a quote.. long and short very spenny including postage and respray. Plus I can't get a diagnosis until they see the forks themselves. and none of them are in London.. HASSLE! Does anyone know of anyone in London who has the expertise to diagnose and re-track forks? They need to know what they're doing?

so just bought these campagnolo strada hardox http://www.lfgss.com/thread60349.html and deciding which brake pads to get.
Decided on swissstop from recommendations but slightly confused...
the manufacturer's website says the blue pads are for ceramic only, whilst most distributors are saying the greens are for alloy or ceramic... which one should I be getting? anyone have any experience of this conflab? most people here are saying green but blue sounds like the one....
or should I just go for Kool Stop greens?

Trying to help my friend get his first bike so we can cruise around together and I can share lots of cycling adventures with my best mate!
he's really set on trying out fixed since having a go on mine.
two-300 quid.
54-56cm ideally i'd say but since the budget is quite low we're thinking we'll be flexible.
531 steel or similar please!
that's all for now, don't want to be too specific as we'd like to see what's out there. fingers crossed one of you lot is about to flog something! Already followed up sale threads on the forum and nothing on the bay at the mo, quite eager too so we won't dillydally anyone about. been searching for a while, hence the wanted thread.
pm me! cheers.

Looking for GB 'Maes' bend bars or something similar to go with my hidiminium stem (25.4mm clamp with optional shim for thinner bars). maybe even a track bend if anyone's got something knocking about.
40cm or thereabouts. Will be riding without hoods.
Engraving would be nice but not necessary.
Don't need NOS condition and on a cheapo budget but would rather see what's out there before limiting myself with a price range. cheers!
ok, so don't take the mickey, and please don't ask me how or why i have these haha...
but I have For sale, 2 general admission tickets to see Take That & Robbie Williams at City of Manchester Stadium on Tuesday evening, 7th June.
100 quid.
Which is CHEAP considering how much they've been going for elsewhere. Cheaper than face value and what was paid for them originally. Need to shift these. I realise it's manchester and the gigs pretty soon and it is Take That but I reckon there's an off chance someone might be in this niche market.
I have the tickets sitting next to me ready to post Royal Mail Special Delivery insured and guaranteed next day delivery for 6 quid or pickup from Chelsea Bridge/Victoria or Putney Cycles depending on the day.
PM me, first person to offer asking price gets em.
cheers!
