Shouldn't it even itself out to 50/50 over the full 100? Whereby 50 heads in a row is equally likely as 50 tails in a row, or heads-tails-heads-tails-heads-tails etc or any other combo as you say?
Over 100 coin tosses, there are 2^100 possible distinct sequences, and they're all equally likely (ie, 1 in 2^100 chance of each).
However, some outcomes can be reached by more than one sequence, so they're more likely to occur.
For example, there is only one way to get either all 100 heads or all tails, so those outcomes are vanishingly unlikely (2^100 has something like 30 zeroes).
However, take the outcome 1 head and 99 tails ... there are 100 sequences that give you the outcome, so it's 100 times more likely to come up.
The outcome 50 heads and 50 tails can be accomplished so many ways, it's much more likely to occur: look up 100 choose 50.Easiest way to work through this is to start with small numbers (<10) and write out the tree.

Not all van drivers are wankers, you seem to come across as just another car hater.
Not certain who you're having a go at here, but I certainly wasn't criticising the van driver. Impact wasn't fast or loud, and wouldn't have been visible in the mirrors.
I can't speak for kowarler, mind, but I was getting surprise rather than hate.

A cyclist smashing into the back of a van? You hear that.
I went into the back of a van last night; the back door panels seemed pretty shock absorbent. I can easily believe the driver didn't notice.
Also managed to strip the threads on my hub around the same time which made the Aldwych downhill a bit unsettling, but I can't for the life of me figure out how one would cause the other.

The power switch on the mars 3.0 is pretty irritating. Difficult to press with fingers, impossible with gloves. The cherrybomb is superior.
I have to push my thumbnail right into the rubber - it's easy enough from precisely the right angle, and impossible otherwise.
I'm wondering if I can glue something on to make it easier.

Were you still on the stock Kenda tyres? -
regulate =/= guarantee
The issue isn't whether you can guarantee some amount of tension in vertical drops - of course you can. The issue is whether you can adjust it, which you do with horizontal or diagonal drops by moving the wheel forward or backwards.
