Good spot ed. The downtube shows a frontal impact just below the headtube lug. ooof.
Now that you mention it, I only checked the top tube and headtube for damage. There's a partially transparent sticker on the DT which might mess up the perspective, but I'll definitely check the DT when I get the chance and report back.
Frameset was about £80 posted so not a big loss financially, but it would be a bummer if it turns out to be unsafe to ride.
Checked the frame and the down tube is clearly bent. I guess I'll ride it 'til it dies. A sad day.

My cx street beater. Had proper knobbly tyres on it during winter for snow riding, but as it turned out, there was snow only for like a week here in southern Finland.

Testing the new setup of my lopo steed:
Rear is clincher from a road Shamal laced to a Record hub. Front is tubular 650c.
I borrowed the bars (ITM Citta di Bassano) from vanttera, but they're stupid deep and a pain to ride on the street. Looks swag tho. Then I tested 3TTT Moscows, which felt really nice. Gotta get me one of those.

Looking for a pair of track hubs for my new project. Here's what I would like to have:
- Campagnolo Record Pista
- Shimano Dura Ace 7600 or 7710
- Mavic 520 Piste (preferably with lockring)
- Suntour Superbe Pro
All hubs should come with 32 spoke holes.
I live in Finland, so shipping would be needed. Payment via Paypal.
Contact with PM 'cos I might miss it if posted in the thread.
Cheers.
- Campagnolo Record Pista

The story behind the Caygill is that the extended seat tube was broken off due to forcing a too small seat post diameter and overtightening the clamp.
Vanttera sorted it out by welding a new tube inside the old seat tube. In the process the paint was removed from the seat cluster area. The original paint was this boring whiteish colour which was just boring, and with the damage already done to the paint we decided to scorchio the whole thing, which was quite fun actually.
I wouldn't call this very ratty myself, since most of the parts look new or unused and I haven't even got around to properly riding it.

Okay, so let's start with the Zen then shall we:
Intended use would be NJS builds, where the massive chainring looks out of place next to skinny steel frame tubes. Black Zens do not work for me 'cos the big ass white kanjin and red Zen logo mess up the feng shui, so silver Zen is the way to go. But a thorough silver component build on a slave bike is hard to pull off. Works well with raw aluminium and I like the minimalism (bar the logo) of it, but on most builds it's just out of place.Next up is the 44rn 144 chainring:
I like the way that it's something different from classic chainring design (DA, Campa etc.), but I'm not feeling the asymmetry of it. Especially the one cutout that is just recessed is bugging me off. Still, it's a very nice, modern chainring. And the Factory5 chainring:
Yeah, it reminds me a lot of the 44rn, but I fancy it better because of the symmetry and the three dimensional effect of the cutouts. It's also a nice mix between classic and modern design, with a familiar double ring shape, but with elaborate details.Questions?

Not exactly like Arias, but I've got these wheels with similar Fir rims for sale:
