Yeah looks like a small area of fatigue, but no more than 1/6 of the total cross section width. Aluminium's a sneaky customer, you never get something for nothing :-( . Just makes you wonder about all those aircraft flying around with quietly growing fatigue cracks. Or maybe we don't want to think about that...

Due to the death of my regular frame, I am looking for a nice(ish) frame to chuck some existing quality components on. I am looking for a frame in the region of £100-150 of anyone has anything surplus, though this price is a little flexible.
I am ideally after something with the following:
-Steel (531 or Columbus)
-59/60cm seat tube
-Braze ons for friction shifters and rear mech
-I have something of a fetish for Italian road bikes, but I understand that may be somewhat out of my price range.
-Surface rust etc is fine, I am not bothered about cosmetic condition, and actually if that means more for the money, I usually respray everything anyway, although clean BB threads would be nice.If anyone has any offerings vaguely fitting this bill I would be interested.
