7(1)b(i) is talking about a fixed wheel bike. So you only need one (front) brake. It's not talking about a bike with direct drive, which require no brakes.

Please examine your use of the word "comment". A "conversation" with 3 "comments" doesn't have 3 comments. It has one post and 2 comments. Why don't you just call everything a "post". Whilst a comment may well be apropos of nothing that is not what is happening here.

In "messages" I find the use of the term "comment" most confusing.

Yes. £3000 just for the gutters. No need to pay for scaffolding since it will already be in place. 2nd quote for the gutters, again when replacing roof, was £2100, but they wanted £10,000 for roof instead of £7,000.

You could try some sort of threadlock compound. I'd be interested in how you get on.

The truth is that most tapers are so roughly made that they don't satisfy ISO or JIS specs. FAG did a report on this. I'll try and find it. You've got to love those Germans.

Please also integrate the login process to the current page of the website. Pop-up windows are difficult for anyone with a disability. I use software to automate logins, and it doesn't work with your site. I also use automatic software for clicking "next". Opera does this automatically on many websites so one can just page through forums with the spacebar.

Although 46mm tyres on a 20mm rim are going to squirm about so much you won't notice that the rim is moving from side to side too :-)

I suggest a cold chisel. This is a locking ring for a cartridge BB, rather than a hardened cup for loose bearings?

Maybe try to fold in the ring to get it to collapse.

I've a pair of near mint/excellent condition Specialized 'globe'/Deore wheels. 32x DT double butted spokes per wheel, Deore hubs which spin nice & smooth, the rear is a 130mm dropout. take up to a 42mm tyre, currently shod with nerly new 28mm continental contacts which you can buy if required.
They done a few hundred miles and really are immaculate with not much wear on the braking surface, the rear is virtually as new.
Came fitted as std on my Specialized globe pro but I use ceramic rims on it all year round. I'm over 100kg and these will take that & more plus a load with ease
