^awesome. a fancy pants recruitment consultancy (namely morgan hunt) is trying to charge me 36 squid for a CRB before i've even been offered a job - is this standard practice, or should i tell them to get fucked?
in my personal experience any CRB check only applies to work in a particular place/job, ie: doesn't cover you to work in two different places who may need their own CRB check............ whilst I may refrain from using any sentence that employs the word 'fucked' I would certainly enquire as to how the CRB check will ACTUALLY effect employment...

OT BUT>>>>>>> My imac g5 2005 is dying, I don't know how long we have, but currently...... video card failure.......... it aint pleasant! So we are probably looking at an enforced new purchase....... eek...... not affordable, surely!! Outrageous inbuilt obsolescence?? So, I dont suppose anyone is looking to sell theirs, lovingly looked after, imac g5 or newer at extra ordinary ably reasonable cost ( ie; less than on the bay) ???
