I've walked the first two days from Inverness south and think the tracks along the side of loch Ness might be a bit rough for a touring bike. Maybe better on a mountain bike with racks.

Just started reading this thread from the start last night on my phone. Brilliant stuff.. reminds me off all the shite jobs and grim / hilarious stuff that I've seen!
Now the proud owner of a kindle reader app and downloaded the book and a bad case of cramp in my right hand (from reading it on my daft phone).

My mate is moving to London in a couple of months and I was saying to him today without thinking: " You'll be able to meet some of the LFGSS guys and go on a group ride or something... brilliant" I feel part of the LFGSS and I'm pretty much a lurker... great forum, great people.
