Because when you've spent too much on a mini pump you need to make sure you can mount it on more than one bike to spread the cost/ride. Annoyingly all the ones for other brands in my parts bin don't fit.
It's this thing: https://silca.cc/products/tattico-bracket-mount

Class series once again. I wussed out of round 2 but otherwise comfortably far away from troubling the top step and enjoying battling the same faces around corners as the weeks went on. Atmosphere is top notch and nice to have the photogs there to capture the gurns. Wasn't the weather we had last year, but definitely prefer 20 degrees to 40 I guess.
Sending the women down Bob was an inspired move and hope it feeds into course design next year!

Can't complain about the Lifeline ones I have, which also offer another hand position for extra comfort:

Think I saw on the other thread that you're doing L2P on this? If I may make a small recommendation (as someone who did L2P on a Brompton a few weeks ago), it would be add a bottle cage rather than try to carry water on your back. I found long days on the compact reach to be hard on my back, and this was partially mitigated by holding a water bottle on the steerer rather than with a Camelbak or similar

Update having ridden the F300 over the weekend. Marvellous day out, blessed with good weather and not so many midges. Rolled out of Rockcliffe about 4.15am and into Druridge Bay 15 hours later. Would have been a very long day if wet, but the trails were in peak dusty condition and set well for a reasonable pace. 4 quality aid stations set out by the organisers meant that I ended the ride with most of the food I'd brought with me. Though if I never have to taste any of the Rawvelo drink powder flavours again that would be too soon. Well catered for at the end with quality pizza/burger trucks and pop-up bar.
The route itself is a mix of wide fire roads through managed forest, linked by minor roads. Not much in between though there was a 25 minute hike-a-bike section through a very overgrown and steep path at about 95 km, where we became fly/midge prey. Slightly disappointed that the route itself was only 291km so if I was to do it solo I'd probably try and loop in some extra trails and then cut across more directly to the east coast.

If you can get down to HHV on Weds then there's a good chance that @Chopsicle and his friends could sort you out

It'll be my first foray into riding that kind of distance, so I'm appreciating the 4x aid stations and ability to have a bag taken to the end point rather than having to carry all my shit. Am sure that more hardy veterans of this kind of thing will guffaw into their #audaxhotel hovels at the thought of such luxuries. In some ways it feels a bit of a shame to go all that way and not explore more of the area, but there's always next time

Not sure if this is best here, or in the gravel thread. But anyone else riding the Frontier 300 in a couple of weeks? https://frontier300.cc/

Anyone bought and fitted Cinturato Velos recently? I've been running them for a couple of years without issues, but fitted one last night which was a massive struggle to get onto the rim (same rim had fitted the same model without issues previously). The bead seemed materially tighter so wondering if they've changed the spec or build-up? Wouldn't fancy getting this on/off on the roadside tbh

I think the measurements on the Brompton website are for "pootling around town" type rides. I just got back from riding mine to Paris, and so was trying to get a set-up as close to my fitted road bike position as possible. I'm 5'11" and was just about able to get an extended 600mm seatpost high enough to be comfortable over long distances. If I was any taller I'd definitely have wanted a telescopic seatpost
What on earth is going on with the anthems?! I get the story and general worthiness of the choir behind it, but still...
