I don't agree with @frank9755, but he's not shit-stirring, it's useful opinion to see.

Sorry if re-post but an interesting article in Time, published shortly before the invasion (02/02/2022), joins up some of the dots of the last few years, Putin, Zelensky, Medvedchuk...

And on some of the other, Ukranian oligarchs:

Loved some of his solo work, some great tracks on Bubblegum, listened to his album with Isobel Campbell quite a bit when it came out, but favourite for me was the Broken album he did with Soulsavers, great stuff. RIP.

It's that time of year again...
On the off-chance that anyone is around Valence on the weekend 26th/27th February, the annual Boucles Drome Ardeche event is in town again.
Saturday's race (the Faun Ardeche Classic) is all on my local weekend cycling roads, with great views, and teams this year include AG2R, Groupama FDJ, Cofidis, Astana, Lotto, Quick-Step, etc.
(bit disappointed to not see Tao Geoghegan Hart, maybe one year...) -

Full bike in 60cm here, a quick ferry-hop to Calais when no longer Covid-blocked?

The advert (or the one I saw at least) just says "faire offre", did you offer 90€, or is the seller asking for 90€ ?
The chrome on the forks looks a bit pitted, but the frame looks really nice.
IMO 90€ is a bit of a bargain, and you could probably re-sell the extras (Hatta Swan headset, Shimano 600/tri-colour brake levers and FD, 105 dt shifters?) for a decent percentage of that price anyway. -

We had someone round for heat pumps, there's a big govt. push for them in France.
The general impression was that they are efficient for new house builds, or with full conversions to under-floor heating, reverse cycle air-conditioning and the like, but not so much for existing houses full of radiators. They are more efficient the more they are exposed to sunlight, which tends to be out front, but no-one wants to see one out the front of their house, so they mostly get installed at the back, where they get less sunlight and are less efficient, and therefore require more electricity to run. They do make noise outside - how much noise depends on size, quality, etc, though the guy did admit it's a bit comparable to an air-con fan. -

I found some some nice photos of the bike shop in an album on Kick My-Pan's Flickr page, taken in 2015. There were still the two separate shops back then; one workshop, one showroom.

Been looking at these for a while, but their website still has an aversion to displaying actual prices.
£620 was the 50% discounted price for the full kit, everything included?
How much is the upgrade kit, and what does it contain?
Thanks.
