I just ordered a jagwire switch cable kit from wiggle but they send me the wrong one. The one showing on their website has got different endings on each side - pear and barrel and that's the one i'm after. The one i have has got only barrel type ending. The packaging is also different.
Does anyone know where i can get these in london?
I don't wanna wait until wiggle will send some replacement.
It doesn't have to be jagwire, any good cable kit up to 20 quid in a silver housing.

I had my bike resprayed in armourtex. They have a very poor choice of samples. Before heading there with a frame i took photo of the bike and put different colours from the ral palette they are using. After respraying it looked the same as my photoshop picture, so it's a good way to find out how it's gonna look in reality. Dont use template - use the photo of your bike.

A friends Charge plug 2009 maroon freestyle was stolen tonight from outside the spurstow in Hackney. It has a white concor saddle with a raintail, white plastic platform peddals and some home made black holdfast copy straps.

It was locked with two abus steel-o-flex's.

If anyone sees it let me know, so I can try and retrieve it.

I think you'd get used to rising fixed quicker than you think, the main concern for me wasn't getting used to the London roads (I gave it two weeks freewheel) but getting the fitness. The nonstop pedaling left my legs ruined by the end of the week for the first couple of months.

I think i may flip the wheel tonight and try it. I consider myself as very fit so the biggest concern apart from stoping the bike would be cycling on very bad roads with loats of holes when i'm normally standing/not pedaling.

Thanks hartxander, i appreciate that. Let me first check at home if my housemates have some spares i could borrow for the time being. I think i didn't realize how important it is and how mamy voices it will raise. You brainwashed me.

Surely a fixed sprocket is cheaper than a freewheel one? why not invest in that in the
first place and then not have to bother with a back brake? just a thought.

Hey, i have to dissapoint you. I have a flip flop hub:) I'm just not ready for it yet. Started to cycle sometime in june this year and i'm just getting used to london roads. Freewheel plus front brake just gave me more confidence than fixed.
I wasn't planning to defend other ss cyclists just myself.

Brave: i do have a fiver, thanks, but prefer to wait. I'm using someone's handlebar so when it comes to buying a brake i'll be going for a new handlebar, tape, both brakes and lever plus cables. Can't afford
all that now so it has to wait a month.

Believe it or not - i am able to stop.

More urgent than brakes was a new freewheel, chain, chainset, tyres - all that just to be able to cycle. Plus saddle, lock, lights.

I didn't chose to take it off - it came like this. Bought it over two months ago and had more urgent upgrades than brakes.

Yeah, i'm sure the world would be safer if i was on a fixed. Don't panic, i'll be getting a new brakes in a month time. Just didn't like the offensive comments.

What's hillarious? I had to buy the whole new drive train and few other bits. Brakes needs to wait a bit. My choice. Haven't crashed yet but seen a couple of fixed riders hugging the tarmac already.

A serious case of...

I'm riding freewheel with only front brake and do not wish to be called names because of that. Mind your own fixed bike.
There's a lof of companies selling bikes with just a front brakes so don't be surprised that you see so many people on them. I bought a second hand bike like that and keep upgrading it. Will get soon to exchanging the brakes too and probably will go for a rear one as well. For now i chosing to stay with the front one only.

Went there on tue after my boyfriend got me a saddle earlier same day as a present.*
I did try to purchase sugino chainset. Guys didnt have it or couldn't find it, hell knows. Offered to take my details to call me when back in stock.
About an hour after i left the shop i had a call from them saying that thay found it. I asked if they can keep it on a side for me until the next day and made sure it's the 44t one.
Of course when i arrived there the following day they didnt have it. Sold it to someone else. *First i had to wait 15min while they where looking for it, then after they couldn't find it they say i can take a 48t one and that i won't feel any difference. Then offered to sell me sugino cranks with some other chainring. When i said that it doesn't look good together one of them suggested i can attach the chainring the other way round so different shade of silver and big logo will be facing the frame. Thanks very much.

There's a polish bloke who works there who pretends he's not polish. There was just me, my boyfriend and that guy at some times downstairs. We spend there good half an hour waiting for someone to bring something for us from the stock chatting in polish. He still pretended he doesnt understand anything. Along with a saddle i was given a fizzik bar tape. Opened the box today just to find out that theres only 1 tape instead of two and no bar plugs.*
