Ordered some spokes from them and had to wait two weeks for delivery.
I don't remember ever waiting that long for item that was in stock.
They don't even bother to send an usual email saying that your order has dispatched blah blah.
Might give them another chance though (paid only 27.99 for a box of 100 dt swiss db butted with nipples) -

I just ordered 289mm dt swiss spokes in box of 100 for 27.99 from fatbirds.
My hubs arrived today and front and rear are not the same. I just trusted planet x website which was showing 32 c-f for both hubs.
The front one is actually 34mm c-f.
The spoke calc gives me now 289.5 for rear and 289.8 for the front wheel. Can i get away with 289mm for both wheels?*
Or should i change my order (i think it hasn't been dispatched yet) for 290mm spokes.
Or cancel it and get the spokes in different lengths for front and rear wheel? -

I'm trying to calculate the length for mavic cxp22 + gran compe hubs.*
The measurements for the hub are already in Ed's calculator. I'm entering 599mm as a rim diameter which i hope is correct. The spoke length for a 3 cross comes up as 289.5 for both wheels and i'll be buying 289mm spokes.
If the front hub is 100mm shouldn't the measurement be different and spokes slightly shorter?

9th of August Ga2G's list was updated. Hardly out of date.
You are not special. You are not a beautiful or unique snowflake. You're the same decaying organic matter as everything else.
suzue 79 for a pair? where?

I know there's been few threads like that and i know about the one "hubs available in uk" so please no stupid comments like "use the search button"
All previous threads are a bit out of date, hubs not available any more or prices changed.
I'm looking for a silver fix/free hub below 100£ and can't decide which one to go for:
Halo
Miche*
Gran compe
Surly
I found some opinions here on gran compe and miche but couldn't find anything about halo and surly.
Which one would be the best allround hub? -

I have a little problem choosing the right hub size.*
I need to replace my horrible wheels.
Frame is 135 but i'm afraid to buy 130 or 135 hub because i'm planning to get a new frame in the next few months. I'll be trying to find some classic frame here on the forum and most of them are 120 or 125.
Is it really stupid idea to ride a 120 hub on 135 frame for a few months? *How would you space it? -

Thanks Hilary, i'll think about this one.
I'm more after something like that denton or freddie grubb, ideally below a 100£ that i could restore and paint the way i like.
Will keep checking your posts.
