I am having difficulty getting my head round attaching the brakes sent with my bike. They are Tektro Oryx and 1st I didnt receive the canti brake holder for the front! so I have tried putting some Deore brakes on, but where can I fit the little bit to help tension the brakes as I am using roadie brakes (does that make sense?) Plus on the rear there is a piece on the frame to fit the tensioner but mine doesnt seem to fit. Need to see some pics to see how they fit/work!!

Can someone help me or point me in the right direction pls. Just got a new Pompino and it has come with the Tektro (Oryx) centre pull brakes. Never having used or fitted these before I need a little help, at the very least to figure out where to put the cable tensioners!!
Any help greatfully received.....

Hope you enjoy your Pomp. I'm on my 3rd...first crashed, second stolen. You may want to upgrade the freewheel pretty quick, the standard 'Eagle' one is a bit poo and the fixed gear and lockring are cheapy too. Otherwise it's all good. You gone for drop bars or flats?
Drop bars, mainly got it for the frame and wheels, if and when the freewheel goes just swap it, got a pretty good shop here for all things Singlespeed and fixed.
cant be any worse then the Felt Curbside I have, which I like very much but after 6 months the rear wheel is shot, and the freewheel on that has never been great!!! The Curbside will have its brakes reattached and a babyseat fixed on for the summer, hopefully the wheel will stand up to that!!!

Hi first time poster, thought this would make a good first post as I have just ordered an pompino, in glow in the dark green. The name could raise a few eyebrows here as I live in Italy!!!!! Looking forward to finally see the bike and of course ride it, it is mainly for my commute to work and back, but I might try a few passes as well.
Will get some pics up when it arrives................
Okay, to fit the tektro oryx brakes that came with the bike I realise I dont have all the right bits, I can ride it brakeless for the time being, as it is fixed!!!! Dont really like the Dia Compe brake levers that came with the bike anyway!!! I have some old Sora sti brake levers, could I use them instead?
