I had the Suzuki Swift, mild hybrid is a bit of a fetch, just a lithium battery under the front seat that gives a little assistance. They are nippy with the 3cyl turbocharged engine.
End of last year swapped for an Ignis, mild hybrid, wrongly I assumed it would be the same drive train. It isn't, it's a 4 cyl na, more sluggish and not as nippy as the swift, needs a lot more revs and isn't as economical.
I wrongly assumed that the under pins and electronics etc. would be the same across models. Nope, no adaptive cruise, trip computer is different, no heated or folding mirrors.
Two fully different vehicles. Not disappointed, just surprised. -

This is great, spent the time I normally go out for a ride looking at it. The Wandrer link to Strava is recommended. Although small bits, that get picked up on Activities, are not going to Big Map, which for completeness is a bit annoying. Because I put my walks and runs on Strava, which I do more of when on holidays my map looks more covered.
@Ruserius thanks for the idea and links. -

Is there a pre-retiring / just retired / not ready mentally / body-not-ready thread?
A grumparents thread?
The so-fucken-bliss-happy-biekGrandParents-thread?
I mean, I’m feeling faded but teeny-tiny grandkids on balance-machines et. al. must be a thing for others on here?Just recently ticked this box. Retired and a Grandfather within a month.
The hard and worrying part is staying alive and fit enough to enjoy the Granddaughter growing up. Been visiting National Trust properties for practice walks, rides and cafe'ing in anticipation of the event. Need an offroad pram.

Ooh, the satellite ones appeal to the gadget man in me, but a bit overkill and expensive once service plans are taken account of.
Think the investment might be better spent on a LiveTrack compatible computer. At least that means I can hide when it is not switched on.
