Still available. But unlikely to take less than £300. Took it to condor and they said they have a replacement cassette which should sort out slipping problem. But haven't bought or fitted this. Measured top tube to floor assume this is standover height, it's 79cm. I'll try to get some photos up shortly. D

Hi All,
For sale is a Brian Rourke Road bike. I bought it off here from the below thread .....www.lfgss.com/thread53580.html
Changes I have made: clincher wheels mavic open pro rims with campagnolo record hubs. True and spin nicely.
Schwalb Durano tyres. Done about 100 miles on them.
Campagnolo seatpost.
Campanolo front derailer
Mks pedals with toeclips
The bad: The middle gears slip and have since I bought it.I've asked Evans about this and they said the cassette is probably worn. I don't have the dedication or mechanical knowhow to sort it.
Pick up only in London. Liverpool st or Victoria.
I bought it for 250 and spent around 100 making the above changes. Therefore I would like around 300 but open to offers.
Photos in the previous thread. I've only got camera phone but happy to add photos if there is interest.
Thanks

Hi All,
Got a pair of "retro" road wheels off a recent purchase off this forum which I have changed for clinchers.
Therefore these are for sale....
Information: Mavic rims (not the same model)
Shimano Hubs (600) Tubular tyres, one with puncture(which can be fixed apparently) one fine. Neither in great condition. Shimano 6 speed cassette
The wheels are true and the cassette works fine as far as I could tell in the limited time that I spent riding them. Reasonably clean and tidy.
Anyone interested? Collection from central-west london or liverpool st. Or might be tempted to deliver for the right price....
No idea what these are worth so make me an offer if your interested. May I start the (negative) bidding at £30?
Thanks

Thank you for your words of wisdom...
Would this be the right type of thing?

In my ignorance I loosened the tyre from the rim....do you reckon its ok just to glue it back up or should I start again with a fresh tyre?

Cycling to Paris in September.....but thinking the avenue verte seems a lot of map reading and getting lost....tempted to take the D915 which goes all the way from Dieppe to Paris. Has anyone ridden this? Or know what D roads are like in France? Are they the equivalent of an A road in the Uk?
