If you can get used ground coffee from local coffee shop can make a very good mulch. Usually they have loads and happy to give it for free. No weeds germinate in it and it will feed the soil over winter.

It depends where you go. If you go to the right places they will. Also they have the scale to be using beans fresh and dial it in each day

How did you get a view on what you thought the right flow temperature? Presumably this meant you weren’t happy with the radiator upgrades they were suggesting. Just did the heat geek quote as comparison and they are quoting a lot more.

We don’t need planning permission so that side is simpler for us.

Any details on what was shit about the design?

Can you find out what the bills of the current owners look like and their energy usage? Depending on how you use the flat you might be able to time the electric heaters to come on in line with a low cost specific time tariff like Octopus cosy.

Got things into a decent (in my view) place for inspection. Planted onions. Tomatoes still hanging on.

The first frost tends to finish them off (at least from being active) so you could move the sticks then.
