Thanks. I was loyal to Crankhouse for a long time but found the lighter roast and single origin was wasted on my espresso skills. Was coming out under extracted even when running nicely time wise. Will check out some more from your list though.

They most likely will ask you why you need the money so worth having your explanation ready. Eg X improvements which will cost this much etc. Some banks don't lend on one property if the cash is to be used to fund another one.....

If you're switching from cold to hot water you will need to have the heat turned down since it doesn't take much to get the water coming through and hence not have it come through too fast.

Might be worth giving it a go with just the Aeropress.....then you've got the starting point. Increasing the pressure should increase the intensity/concentration as I understand it

So basically something to hold the Aeropress in place and then the lever attached to the plunger? I reckon the rubber seal would hold. Would also need to make sure that the pressure doesn't break the cup (apparently it's possible with hand plunging).

Have been experimenting with the Aeropress Espresso....was sceptical at first but actually pretty impressed....

25g coffee grind on mocca setting in a Wilfa
60g water
stir then plunge straight away

Its not a true espresso but short black quick strong drink which brings out the flavours. Anyone else on this? Was thinking of getting a proper espresso machine but not sure I will be dedicated enough with all the maintenance etc...

Which grinder are you using? Just thinking that in order to get the right quality of grind you're going to need a pretty decent grinder?

Do you know if it is classified as an HMO? Not claiming to be an expert but there are tighter regulations if it is an HMO so if you can show that the LL is in breach of those requirements you might have stronger grounds to claim the contract is not being delivered, or complain directly to the council on safety grounds.

Is the break clause very expensive? No harm in asking your bank if they can put you on a better deal.
