Yes I use a paper screen. I find it useful, although not too sure why maybe just habit! Using a distribution tool is more important though

It will be fine. If you can be bothered you can put a small amount of decaf through to clear it out a bit more but probably not worth it.

Great. I’m my opinion the beans are the biggest factor. Amazing beans can be very forgiving. Bad beans and you’re going to get rubbish coffee.

You’re better off without the spout then you can see how the espresso is flowing.

Has anyone had success/experience of carrying two 4yolds in a bullit?

Just got to check they’re a hardy variety. Kelverdon Wonder have overwintered nicely for me

You’ll need to dial it in to the right grind for the individual coffee.

Same for all espresso machines but if it’s too coarse it will run through too fast and weak. If it’s too fine it won’t flow at all or very slow and thick/bitter.

The middle ground between these two is the search for the perfect espresso for the coffee.

Yes, big fan. You’ll need a espresso quality grinder to go with it.

I’ve got one of these I bought off here which I’ve been pleased with. Better espresso than electric grinder. Looks like they’re out of stock though

I’m a no expert but couple of ideas……you could make a hotbed out of it. Huw Richards has a couple of videos on it. Option 2 just put it down and if it’s not ready just put an extra layer of compost over the top

Have you chosen your bean supplier? Usually that's a good place to start because they have an interest in making sure your output is up to the right standard.
