Been a few years since I was there but Curve had some pleasant routes if you don't mind a bit of gravel:

https://www.curvecycling.com/blogs/ride-library/the-belgie-ride
The latter has the 'Boule' on it (Yarra Boulevard) and might go past the flying fox colony. It's a nice ride away from traffic for a chunk of it too.
Other option could be to head over Westgate bridge and down the coast to Altona, if you time it right you can get the punt back into the city. Used to be able to get most of the way there on cycle paths.

But maybe we can take a moment to appreciate this Atlantis.

Let's not forget all Rivs have disc brakes...

As this seems like a safe space for mechanical disc brake chat... I have some Klampers and am always kinda annoyed by how svelte they look on bikepackingdotcom from the side, when in reality they are fucking huge. Braking and rebuildability is fine, but I wouldn't say either are significantly better than BB7.
Tempted by Growtac as the size and cable entry would solve some problems I'm having with cable routing as most stuff seems designed to handle flexible hoses and adjustable entry angles.

Not committed but considering moving this on as I've lost the will to build it up: https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/330747/
Measurements in the thread are a bit off, seat tube more like 59 c-t not c-c as described. As mentioned in the thread there are a few chips to paintwork. Need to sleep on it for a little longer but will happily note any interest in the meantime.

You mean like this?
