Loadsa barbers are more than just a barber to alot of their frequents, gaining more of a social club vibe, somewhere to hang out really.
Also, its never too late to get a haircut.
what's with the Afro-Caribbean thing of barbers and hairdressers opening really late? It seems like a great thing culturally. Where does it come from?
^^^ Yer! Wot he said. Ain't you not never seen "Desmond's"

I had a crombie as a teenager, always thought donkey jackets were a bit too binman, if you know what I mean... But then I grew up on a council estate, most of our parents worked in menial jobs and the last thing me or my mates wanted was to dress like our dads did at work... Tho' my dad was pretty sharp when he wasn't in the kitchen, got all his suits made bespoke back in Spain...
I've always liked monkey boots. I think it's cos my dad used to have a pair.
Dr Martins have done an version this year, not a patch on the originals and twice the price.

Also using this forum as your target market is daft, we are a bunch of rugged hardcore polistas, we need no 'fashinoble' clothing from pashley, probably not the target marked, unless pashley is into Vans.
^^^I disagree, there are sartorialists on this forum:

as well as people who wear stuff that's 'nice, if a little pricey'Question-wise the Lifestyle one's a bit vague, and I wouldn't know what to put, but 'other activities' should prove fruitful as if someone rides their bike to play tennis or other such activity, a natty pair of riding/tennis shorts/shirt could result.
(I'm well posh and would like a natty pair of riding/tennis shorts with some divine detailing please.)

Quite tempted buy the bargainousness of these, but decided I don't actually need one. Reckon I'll go for 5w cree torch/light off the ebay.
Electron 16 LED was £119.99 - Now £49.99

YouTube - Weekend Project: Mini Bike Light
Probably a repost, almost certainly belongs in epic fail for the patronising intro. Might have a go at making a light though, gotta be cheaper than a 3-led Knog (frog?).
Why not just get some Knock-off knogs from DX? about 5 dorrah each.
I don't own these so can't vouch for their quality, but might get some.http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.44266

PS: I dropped my dream of selling 20th century antiques and have designed my own range instead. First piece in the workshop right now and should be finished next week (that wasn't a plug honest!)
Always wanted to do this ^^^.
It's a shame I'm devoid of any drive and ambition.Doing an upholstery evening class atm, doing a couple of parker knolls. Takes so much longer than I thought.
Ditto about posting pics, i'd be interested to see.

not my cup of earl grey...
are London lovefilm reviewers really like that? guess these are home viewers,Bloody Trailers. I've stopped watching them if I know i'm going to watch the film, because like that one, they show too much of the film/plot.
I read a bit of the synopsis and a couple of reviews and then decide. I'd rather I knew as little about the film as possible.
Watched 'Dead Man's shoes' thinking it was going to be a completely different film (got mixed up with something with Clive Owen in it) and decided this was the way forward.Might try 'A prophet' tonight. Something about a bloke and prison, that's about as much as I know.

You used to be able to get them in any of those workwear shops (it's pot luck which one's have them now they're not that popular anymore). I spoke to a lady in one who said they used to always stock them and could order some in. You can get 'em on online now though around £35.
My dad used to get them from Jay's in Battersea (Lavender Hill). That was about 25 years ago though.
