There are some people on the planet (believe it or not) who are cool and simply have a spare bike that they would not mind lending and if it got stolen so be it. Just so you know i was planning on stealing it.
These people are called millionaires, they have castles full of other loot too you might want to see what else you can nab off them. Also I wasn't 'trying to be funny' I was trying to be helpful, so fuck you enjoy walking everywhere for three weeks...
also Crucifixi you get a** high five**

And......the problem is? Your comments a tad un cool (albeit funny)....most places in the world the fixed gear community is global and riders help fellow fixie rider from out of town.. Good luck with your bad attitude dude. an attitude like yours won't get you far in life
I dont think Crucifixi is being rude he's just displaying a understanderable level of caution. You are new to the community and you want to borrow someones bike for 3 weeks, you've offered no remuneration for this and you've got nothing to prove your intentions. Whilst i'm not by any means suggesting you are, you could easily be a theif who came up the the idea of exploiting a communties good will to your own advantage. If a guy came up to you and a group of your friends in a pub and asked if he could borrow your car for a bit would you lend it too him?
No sensable person would becuase you have no idea who they are, If you were well known to people on the forum and had many friends here it would be a different matter. I would suggest that you go out and make some connections with people in the real world, earn they're trust and maybe you'll have better luck. -

I'm in work atm so I can't put photos up but its the same as the 1981 version picturedhere. Its the same 'Ice Blue Metallic' colour, 56cm c-t seat tube and 56cm c-c top tube.
There are some small dings and the paint not amazing, also the gear hanger is slightly bent I tried to straighten it as best as I could but its not amazing so I wouldn't recommend using it with gears.
Its 531 forks and front triangle is 531 the dropouts are stamped but I can't make it out.
SOLD to supersonik-zladI'll put some photos up when I get home

Right I spoke to Armoutex who said they'll do it for £50 in black, it'll take them about 2 weeks, one week to actually do with another week of cureing.
Atlantic Boulevard on the other hand said they'll do it for £45 but it'll only take a week, when i asked him about cureing he said they'd be dry in 24 hours.
As a punt i also tried argos in brisol, they said it would be £85 and i'd have to wait a month before they could do them...so fuck thatJudging by the vast quantity of good work armoutex have done i'll go for them.
apparently they sand off the old laquer and decals, then use the previous finished surface as a base to work off.

...thats not the worst part - did you get a look at the "NJS stamp"?
I wonder how many keirin racers are out there winning trophy after trophy on these bad boys?Loads i mean as well all know the world champs are always held in Edinburgh and let us not forget that "This chainset actually rode the track at Medowbank, Edinburgh."
I mean we should be glad he's not making us pay for that kind of pedigree. it ACTUALLY rode there! WOW! I've got some stuff to sell in fact, if i put in in a bag and ride it round the newport track can i charge more?

SUPER RARE! "Vintage Pantographed Peugeot Chainset SR NJS"
"Its 170mm cranks and 50 teeth are solid enough to be endorsed for track riding by the NJS. I wont explain what this means. To those that know, youve stumbled on a rare chainset so you know what your buying!"
I'm half tempted to send a message and tell him. i mean you can even see the marks from the old chain bolts that held on the other ring...

They've been greased recently. I couldn't tell you how much use they've had as I was given them by my friend, but they still seem very smooth spinning. He's owns a bike shop so he tends to take very good care of his stuff. Feel free to ask questions or for more photos.
I also will be putting up some Shimano 500/600 mechs/shifters and some campag mechs soon if anyone is interested.Jack
