I'd guess it has to be the front-mech shifter (as it has no friction) or a rear one with the friction removed somehow.

A Front shifter still has friction to counteract the spring in the derailleur. Do you mean no indexing, and with the friction relieved so the brake's spring can pull the cable back?

In all the time I've watched Rugby, a try has been scored by applying downward pressure using by hand between the try-line and dead-ball-line. They wouldn't need Video Refs without the "by hand" technicality.

This is now one pimp looking drivetrain. Gonna order a proper 1/8th ring on Tuesday. Had to use the big ring side of the tabs to get the chainline right, so no bashguard.

Evans charge £27.50 to fit a BB, but a Park BBT-2 hollowtech2 tool is £20... Except I need to remove the old one first. Fail.
